The exit to windows button gone

Recently my exit to windows button just dissapeared on the main menu after playing a dynasty game. I have seen a number of other people with the same problem but I was wandering if anyone has a fix for this. Its not a big deal and the game does run fine. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but that didn't work, I wonder if it has something to do with the save folder or settings folder. I already know you can either exit by going to a different game mode and then it shows up or pressing Alt-F4 keys but it would be nice to get it back. I'm going to play a few games to see if it fixes the problem.
