Trying to trade Redd (Bobcats Dynasty)

Postby feltonfire20 on Tue Jun 06, 2006 5:32 am

here's my starting lineup for my Bobcats Dynasty.

C- Okafor
PF-Bosh
SF-GWallace
SG-Redd
PG-Felton

I've been trying to trade Redd for awhile now.. who should I get for Redd? I'm hoping to get someone young and cheap out of this trade.
(I'm keeping my Dynasty as realistic as possible, so Felton and Okafor can't be traded.. at least for now. they're kind of my franchise players. Felton's actually pretty good now with 78 overall rating :D ) Oh and I also have Brezec, BRobinson, JJones, AAnderson, MCarroll, Hinrich (my Felton's much quicker, better ballhandling, and very much improved passing and FG%, so Hinrich's my 6th man now), and Burleson. Because Bobcats are building their Franchise in real life, I'm building a Dynasty with talented, young players. I've been trying to get Ben Gordon, but compared to Redd's contract (12mil) Gordon's a mere 2-3mil.. and the Magic can't afford Redd (I had traded Gordon for Howard in the past which explains why Gordon plays for Magic now).. so who should I get for Redd?

If you have Redd and Bosh.... I hate to say it, but you're already unrealistic. :-P

Really though, I'm kind of confused. Redd IS a young, talented player, and his contract is relatively decent. Anyone much younger like you're talking about is probably going to be on their rookie contract so of course the salaries won't match up.

oh yeah Redd's very talented, but like you said, my team's becoming unrealistic and too strong for a franchise that just started building, so that's kind of why i want to trade Redd. so what else should i do to make my team more realistic?

well, i traded redd for al harrington. but hear me out, 'cause most of the teams in the current season are pretty much in their negatives in terms of salary cap ('cept mine) and i knew i had to do something about this, 'cause my dynasty was becoming unrealistic. harrington's much easier to work with, 'cause his salary's half of redd's and also the demands for PFs are high. so currently, hinrich's playing sg and i turned him into a shooter for a meantime. i'm not planning to keep hinrich on sg of course, so i have harrington and hinrich to play around with. should i still attempt to get gordon? or should i try someone else for harrington or hinrich?
