Ive mentioned it to Andrew before but no he isnt a horrible defender just not a great defender. There is a difference between bein a liability (Walker, Damon) and not bein a superb defender (Ross, Bowen).

And to be fair LeBron is rapidly learning how to play defense. Just look at his upward trend in the following categories

Last Year
He allowed opponants to shoot eFG% of .513 good for 21.3Pp/48minutes and allowed a PER of 18.2

This Year
He lowered his eFG% allowed to .498 and only 18.1Pp/48 and limiting his opponants to 15.0PER which is about the league average.

I wouldnt be surprised if in 2 years after hes had more experience gaurding players and learning their moves he will make huge progress as most players do when they enter the league.

But since this is NBA live 06 I agree he should be stripped of his stopper status, there is a reason why Tayshaun was the most consistant Piston against the Cavs. They simple had no answer for him.

its more of the fact that he gets a alot of steals (from gambling of course but nonetheless outside stopper is about stealing it doesn't make you a better defender)

No it doesnt, but in order to have the FSS you have to have certain ratings which do make you a better defender.

I agree with you that he probably shouldn't be a stopper (yet).

What I don't agree with is that he "is one of the worst defenders". That's just not right.

I think thats the point of the thread, he shouldnt have the stopper ability in the 1st place. But I thought it was allready taken care of he doesnt have it in my game. Maybe I did

As I've said before I'm definitely considering lowering awareness ratings to take away the stopper FSS with players like LeBron James. I don't think he's one of the worst defenders in the league, far from it, but I agree he's not quite at the level to qualify for any defensive FSS abilities.
