You only need to change the TEAM field. Also make sure no two players on the same team share the same ROSTERPOS value.

Roster position - no two players on the same team can share the same value. More info here.

To trade a player in the DBF, all you need to do is change their TEAM field and make sure they have a unique ROSTERPOS compared to other players on the same team. That means you'll need to locate the rest of the players on the team in the DBF, but you'll need to do that anyway if you want to reorder the rosters from within the DBF.

Don't you have to change Player Salary paid by Team dbf slot as well?

Edit: Cash_Team

Specifically players.dbf. More information about players.dbf values can be found in the link I posted before.

I found the TEAM_CASH but i dont know wich num i need to change there...17 fo new-jersey? 14 for miami? 27 fo toronto? what?!

and this is the only thing i need to do?
only change the team_cash, save the file, and do the transfers?

Change TEAM and CASH_TEAM to the desired destination team. Say you're trading two players for one another, you would simply swap their TEAM and CASH_TEAM values so they appear on the roster and payroll for the opposite teams. Then make sure their ROSTERPOS value doesn't conflict with anyone else on those two teams.
