v1.08 released...

Official Support Thread for v1.08

Andrew wrote:It's Playoffs time, and that means it's about due for a new version of the roster update. As it happens, I have one available; download it here.

Key features of v1.08:
- 2005/2006 Playoff Rosters (accurate as of 21/04/06)
- Player ratings updated
- Primacy ratings adjusted for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Slider suggestions added

Additional Release Notes

  • v1.08 contains projected lineups based on recent rotations and the playoff rosters of 13 players as decided by each of the 16 playoff teams on the 20th. The remaining 14 teams have final day lineups, which means some big names are sitting out. In the next version, I'll probably change those to lineups similar to the Uninjured version.
  • The Uninjured version continues to ignore injuries, thus ignoring the playoff rosters in most cases.
  • Primacy continues to be an issue, please report any problems you note with the unedited, original version of the roster. If you create any players or have had injuries in a Dynasty game, the Primacy ratings will be recalculated and messed up. That's something I can't control and is not an indication of an error in the original version of the patch.
  • As always, while I consider all suggestions I may not always make the change. Please don't pester me to make those changes, I might consider them down the road or after some discussion but for now I've decided against them. Thanks all the same.
  • This probably won't be the final release, I might have an update or two through the playoffs to adjust lineups. I'm not sure whether I'll be handling the offseason just yet, I'll let everyone know what I'm doing once I've decided.

Feedback on ratings and such is of course still welcome through the playoff updates, but please let's not have a repeat of the last release where some people decided to forego civility and understanding to get their point across. Thanks. :)

after looking through my teams, a big (Y) to Andrew!

especially noticing the rebounding prowess of chuck hayes (hou) and adjusting his ratings accordingly. Do you include player portraits in any roster patches? if so, I have his cyberface/portrait. didn't think many people would want to dload it by itself.

Thanks again.

Great rosters (Y)..but whenever I play the Spurs, they take too many perimeter shots, rather than moving the ball then into Tim Duncan. The team doesn't seem to be dumping it into Duncan enough and they rely too much on the perimeter shots, which isn't Spurs-like. I noticed that you changed Duncan's primacy to 73. Shouldn't it be 99? Also, one more thing. I enjoy using the Bulls now because it is challenging and I love running plays for Nocioni and Gordon, but should Hinrich's defensive awarness be up? He did a pretty good job defending Wade in game 1.

Andrew, Nazr Mohomad was 100% from the 3 point line last night, please up his three point rating to 93 to reflect this. Other than this GLARING ommision, the rosters are spot on, good work my man!

This is a joke, right? just b/c someone hits a few threes in a row you think they should become an elite outside shooter? you have to do that all season.

Baldus is completely wrong, his 3 points rating should be no higher than 91 :scold:

No, it shouldn't be 99. By default it's 76, I guess I can up it to that again but if I set it to 99 he'll be averaging around 30 ppg in simulation.

I don't like to boost a player's rating because of a single game. I will consider raising his defensive awareness but I can't guarantee that I will make a change just yet.

hey andrew, a bit off topic, sorry, but what is there a way to progress everyone a year without going through the season. I was thinking that since these are the end of the year rankings, i'd just create a bunch of rooks, throw them in the game, and start, rather than sim a whole year. But I would like to advance people a year of age, contract, get a bunch of free agents, etc... if you want me to post this somewhere else, just say something.
