Trade analysis - K Martin for L Odom

Am playing a dynasty as Denver and am thinking of making a trade that would invovle K Mart for Lamar Odom.

I know I'd lose some rebounding and inside strength, but would certinaly have some extra scoring punch. And I should only need about 7-8 rebounds per game rom Odom to be straight.

The main reason is that I like both players, and due to their contract structures, Odom should save me about $4mil per year.

* Do you think this is a decent move?
* What is Odom's scoring like around the basket (K Mart is a beast near the hoop)
* Am I asking too much by expecting Odom to play at the 4, near the hoop and give me 7-8 rebound?

Keep in mind I still have Melo, with Bogut at centre.

Odom is useless.

keep martin hes a mean defensive presence and his power superstar ability comes in handy

Actually, Odom is a better rebounder than Martin. He can play the 4, although you might wanna shoot more and dunk less. He is a better all-around player, too. He can do everything, even hit the occasional three-pointer. I would do the trade any day. Martin might have good ratings, but playing with Odom is a lot easier, imho.

Try getting Dwight Howard+(some filelr w/ big slary) for Kmart!

Ahh, not a bad idea...try to engineer a trade with K Mart + extras for Dwight Howard and Grant Hill. It would be awesome to get Grant Hill's salary...maybe Miller + Martin for Howard + Hill...would that work?

i dunno what you'd do with melo. use him at SG? and who's your PF after the trade?

Bring hill off the bench, he's really not that good, though i'd say he's a better 2 player than carmello would be.

It would certainly be a case of sacrifing the 2 seasons until G Hill contract expired. But I would probably play out the season with G Hill at PF, or...start Reggie Evans, or...move Bogut to PF and find some schmuck as starting C...maybe trade for a third rate C.

Keep Kmart, I like his inside presence and defensive prowess more than what Odom gives you.

If I were you, I would make the trade, just because I think Martin is an overrated tool in this game. His realife counterpart is merely a showdow of the player his is in the game. Besides, I thi8nk Odom is a bit underrated also.

Actually Odom is good, he can play the 4 and can rebound, dish it out and block shots too. He might be slow for the 3 though, and has a horrible contract like KMart.
