Can you change player ratings in dynasty w/ DBF Commander?

Mon Mar 27, 2006 5:09 am

I figured it would be no problem, and I have done it in the past with NBA Live Toolkit (what happened to that by the way?), but whenever I change somebody's rating on DBF Commander and open it up, their rating stays the same? For example, I would change Smush Parker's dunk rating from 50 to a 75, but when I opened it in the game, it would still say 50. Is there any reason for this?

Yeah, u can change them, don't froget to back up the palyers.dbf though.

I should have re-phrased the question, because I have changed the ratings on there. My problem is that they won't appear in the game as being any different for some reason.

They should be changed once you load up the Dynasty again. Note that the overall rating may not be recalculated, that will change if you go into Edit Player and exit saving changes (even if you didn't make any). Basically you just need to go into Edit Player to force the game to recalculate the overall.

u can edit the players in dynasty, but remember to back it up. not backing it up cost me my dynasty.

Wow.....for some reason, there are duplicates of all the players on my team (The Lakers) so I was changing the ratings on the duplicates, who I can't even see or locate in the actual dynasty. I have been able to change the ratings hundreds of times before in previous seasons, so I knew it couldn't be too difficult. I just wonder why they have duplicate players from my team, and why they are all located together at the bottom between the real players and the generated rookies.
