Substitutions - how to make it realistic

Postby Silky Johnson on Thu Mar 16, 2006 12:53 pm

I'm playing a Dynasty, 12 mins quarters, and usually only play the last quarter of a sim'ed game (if I play any of it).

I would like to increase the frequency of subs so that it's more realistic. There should be bench players getting at least 15 mins and 5-10 pts.

Even when the CPU substitution slider is at around 75, they still don't sub unless in foul trouble.

Can someone advise me on how to adjust sliders so the CPU subs realistically?

Also, I want my players to be sub'ed realistically for the sim part of the game (first 3 quarters), but I want to control subs once I take over. Is there any way to do this, othwer than set my sub slider high (80+), then decrease it to '0' each time I take over the game?

Thanks

if ur fatigue is high the CPU and Users players will get tired and eventually the CPU and User would sub some players. Juss my two cents because i had that same problem (Y)

and my sub slider is 80
fatigue slider is 60

So did you find that your 80/60 slider settings worked and delivered realistic subs?

Just play around with the fatigue slider until you get what you want. I think around 70 is the most popular for the subs slider, so just adjust the fatigue one.

I always do fatigue at like 42, because it's most realistic. People like Lebron and Kobe play for 40 minutes a game on average, and they don't get tired as quick even when they are doin all the ballin. So with anything higher than 42, they seem to get tired as soon as they get hot.

So if I set my Subs slider at a high level, do I have to change it back to '0' as soon as I take over the game, if I don't want the computer automatically making subs for me? Or is there a simple "Auto Subs On/Off" option, like there used to be in old Live games?

Unfortunately, no, there's no on/off this year. You have to slide it back to 0 to stop auto-subs.
