hi all.

my computer lacks somewhat on 1024x768x32 setting and is smooth on 800x600x32 but gives me a crappy graphicz which is just not enjoyable. I tried all those tweaks but I came to wonder if there is anyway to play the game at 1024x768x16 ?

my graphic card is x800 gto2 from ati. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Dear god. A 64bit 3600+ and a x800? And you can't play LIVE? You should be able to play Call of Duty 2 on max on that rig! Anyway, update the drivers for the video card, or check your ATI CATALYST utility and make sure your anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering is set to low...Still...your x800 should be able to take this like nothing.

Thats very strange that you cant play properly with those specs. Like Metalhead said, just try updating drivers.

this lagging problem (it's smooth for 5 seconds and lags for 1 sec) seems to be there in 800x600 mode as well. i just update my drivers and directX.

Any cause for this anyone can think of?

A program in the background is probably the culprit. Recently, any program that I ran caused Explorer.exe to have 99% cpu usage and everything was slow unless I ended the process or turned its priority down.
