Xbox 360 Controller Problem

Hello all I just purchased an Xbox 360 controller to play nba live with. I am having trouble remapping my controls for this thing though. I cannot get the left and right triggers to register and I am wondering if there is anything I can download or any way I can make these buttons work for nba live.
