how do you release a player through dbf from another team

i cant figure out how to get 2 people off the magic so i can make the whole darko/franchise trade

Change their TEAM field to 50. If you leave CASH_TEAM as Orlando (20? I can never recall offhand), their salary should still count against the Magic's cap as it would if they were released from within the game.

As always, be sure to make backups in case anything goes wrong.

so change cash_team to 20 also?

CASH_TEAM should already be correct if they're already on the Magic roster. I could be wrong about that number, so double check me on it.

i just went in and changed the cash_team from 20 to 50 and same with the team all in one

That'll work. But if you wanted their salary to continue to count against the Magic's cap (as it would in real life), you can leave it as it was.

I just tried this but it didn't work. I left the players cash team as 1 Boston and change team to 50, when I went to free agents there he was with no salary details. I then got a message saying he was waived and I'll pick up the tab, I said ok and went a day foward on schedule and the game crashed.
Help.
