How do you rate a players Def. Awarness

Postby Chronz on Mon Feb 20, 2006 9:56 am

In your updates I always have to up the great defensive players. For example 70-79 should be a good-great defensive player like Ira Newble, David Wesley, Greg Buckner and others, but then I look at the stoppers and I dont see Josh Howard, Adrian Griffin, Quinton Ross , Jason Collins, these are guys that get after you defensively. Not sure if you put Earl Watson as a stopper but you should.

I was very disturbed with Lebrons defensive ratings. Ratings 80-99 should be given to the premier defensive players. Ill bring some players to your attention that you should consider to up their defensive abilities. But again thanks for updating the rosters I like the job you and your crew does with the one exception bein the defensive players.

Obviously the new FSS Stopper abilities come into play these days. Any suggestions about underrated defenders would definitely be appreciated. :)

Just one more question though. In order to be a stopper you have to raise the quickness attribute so even if the certain player isnt as quick as he has to be do you just look past it or do you give him the benefit? It doesnt happen to often but in some cases the player is a bonafide stopper but hes not the quickest guy in the gym like in Adrian Griffins case. And Ill add a list of players who are valuable defenders along with stats to back it up, trust me its completely unbiased.

Sometimes. Depends on whether the player truly should have the abilities and whether it's padding too much.

Appreciate any kind of list you can provide. :)

Yeah Ima post it in a minute but your right on all them players, especially Collins, He is one of the most underrated players in the league hes not a great rebounder or shotblocker but hes one of the smartest team/1on1 defenders. Defensive awareness of 90 would do him justice, just look at his numbers they are bad, but you dont start for a good team and play heavy minutes without bein good at something and defense is his calling.
But yeah when I post the list be sure to go over it and gimme some input on it.

yeah,I know Jason Collins is a good defensive player especially a great rebounder based on some statistics calculation on a basketball bbs(RealGM OR Clutchcity).
