CPU or Human Shot Control

Could someone please tell me the difference of CPU or Human Shot Control
Do they affect stats dunk moves etc...

In Human Shot Control, you have to push Shoot once, then again to release the ball at the right moment, but in CPU Shot Control, you only have to push it once and the CPU will release at the point where your most likely to drain the shot. It has no effect on layups, only shots.

This is why my shooting % is below average, and also why I resort to more layups/dunks than everyone else.
