VC trade options

Postby Num33Baller on Mon Feb 13, 2006 11:18 am

I got VC from the nets for shareef and wells, but I really need an inside presence (I'm starting both Tyson Chandler, who I got for kenny thomas and brian skinner, and Brad miller. Chandler is averaging near 20rpg btw.) That means I have Williamson coming off of the bench at PF and Andray Blatche (traded for ronnie price) coming off at Center.

I'm definately willing to start Martin once VC is gone, as hes averaging near 25 pts a game coming off of the bench/starting for injured players at SF/SG.

Any Ideas?

u already have inside presnece......why do u want more?

if u need an outside guy go with an AI, francis, etc type player...some1 who is a highflyer and/or defensive stopper would really help you out

They are, but I don't have any coming off of the bench.

I'm starting brad miller at PF.

I have an abundance of forwards and guards.

I have Martin, Francisco, Bibby, Corliss, Hart, and Artest for the guards and Small Forward.

I need a dominant inside presense to come off of the bench.

I was thinking of moving artest to PF and making martin the starting SF, but Artest is pretty small for a PF.

You should put Chandler at PF (thats what he played with Curry) and Miller at C

They're basically the same position.

I fooled around with them both, and I think Chandler plays C better than PF (maybe I'm imagining it) in Live.

Anyway, I need to figure out who I should get for VC.

If you are looking for a budget inside stopper, get Joel Pryzbilla. He is a few defensive awareness points away from inside stopper and he only costs a couple mil a year. You can save VC and trade some other crap for JP because he is only rated 64 and he fills up the paint well on D.

Hmm.

Still, that leaves no room for martin to start. I'll try it though :)

Not sure I am understanding what you see in Martin. He is a quality player, but not the scorer you need alongside the defensive prowess of Artest. Why would you want to start Martin instead of VC? Martin is a good bench player. VC is a solid starter. If you don't like VC, trade him for another solid starter who can shoot the rock. I don't see how your team is better with Martin as a starter. I would rather train up Garcia than Martin. Garcia becomes a shooting stud if you put the offensive training into him. Your team needs a perimeter scorer. If you are trying to save cap space, trade VC to NY and get something like Hardaway<expiring expensive contract> and Jamal Crawford or Q. And let Hardaway go away at the end of the season freeing up like 12mil. hehe. Then sign the best free agent with your new found wealth.

just my 2 cents. :P

No. Kevin Martin is a SG

If you look at my dynasty, Kevin Martin is the second leading scorer on my team, and hes coming off of the bench. I would rather have an 88 rated big man than an 88 rated SG, at which I already have a decent starter at.

I want Amare... but the salaries don't match... 2.3mil for 13.8

=\

Look around for teams with good low priced young players<to use as Stoudamire Trade bait> and an expensive expiring contract...Like Mashburn + Iguodala...or ...Hardaway, Frye and Robinson...or If you want a good inside presence player in the deal, trade VC for Ratliff<awesome interior defender> and Telfair<trade bait to get Stoudamire>...Package Telfair and Martin<if he is still cheap> and possibly a 1st rd pick to get Stoudamire. and then train the hell out of garcia to make him starting quailty. hehe. Save it first though. not sure if it will work. hehe. Or just sim a year to get Amare...his contract is up and he will get paid...then it will be easier to get him. I would imagine that VC would be a desirable player for PHX since their SG's aren't high rated. So that would be my suggestion.

Ratliff can fill the paint til his contract expires, then let him go. You only need him til you get stoudamire anyways. hehe. Trade VC for both Ratliff and Pryzbilla...that would be one hardcore paint defending trio...Chandler, Ratliff and Pryzbilla. THE WALL! haha. Then you can start Martin. :P

Thanks. I'll see if the computer bites.

why not?

Seeing as amare is not injured in the rosters... And PHO has no real SG, they could use a good SG (VC), and start Kurt Thomas.
