Online Lag

What it is the main cause of lag in online NBA live 06 play?

I have a fast pc, 3ghz proccessor and 2 gigs of ram, and my video card runs the game with no lag at all on the max settings (single player).

Well, when i play online, i set all my graphics to low except i keep the filtering on anostropic and my resolution at 1280x1024x32. I get a lot of lag online, i feel that internet connection speed, rather than computer speed, has the greater effect on your performance, as i have about a 180kbps connection. Do you guys play smooth games with slower internet? i feel it must be the connection, that or i play guys with crappy pc's every time.

Connection speed. In the games Matthew and I were playing when we were trying to do that Bulls vs Knicks feature, we found there was less lag going through EASO compared to IP-to-IP games. I don't know if that holds true for everyone.

i thought it was the other way around, i dont know..... oh well. Perhaps it has to be that if somebody hosting has fast internet, then it will be lag free.

the speed of the game depends on the slower computer or the one with slower connection. whenever im playing ip to ip. i often set my graphics to the lowest resolution. 1280x1024x32 is high, i sacrifice graphics for a faster gameplay.
