Question about passing!

Postby Waco on Wed Feb 01, 2006 9:13 pm

Hello guys,

This is my first post on this forum. I am a long time NBA live player. Since '95, and i think that was the first.

I haven't played the '05 & the "06 much because i can pass the ball to the player i want it to go. And that frustrates me alot.

Do u all use direct pass? I can't imagine u do. Because that would make the controll too complex for me to play occasionally.

The ball never goes to the player i intend the ball to go to, unless there is no one else ofcourse.

Try directing the movement buttons to where the player that you'd like to pass is at. Otherwise, if you don't direct it, the player will just pass to the closest player in the direction that he's facing at the moment.

I basically never use the direct pass, even tho I'd like to, my controller just don't have enough buttons...

THe same problem as i have, too few buttons!

I push the movement button in direction of the player. That is when all goes wrong.

Imagine a perfect fastbreak, ball goes to the wing, trailer through the middle and wide open. And the pass goes to the forward on the other side of the court!

If it was a real player instant trade on the field!!!

The direction-and-pass combo still works as it did in the old days, but direct pass has greatly simplified the process, it sure hasn't made it more difficult. I think a majority of people who can use it (ie have controllers with enough buttons) do take advantage of it.
