Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

I have been playing Live for a while, since 'Toine was on the cover. I think it was NBA LIVE '98. Anyway, this is a noob question, and I need it to be answered!
Okay, In my dynasty, I am in the 06-07 season. In the offseason of the 05-06 season, I was only able to sign Desagna (However you spell it) Diop for 807K, (something around that/like that.) My salary cap was in the negatives. After I signed him, I was not able to sign anymore players, including 385K!
Before, I thought that you can sign any 385K, no matter how much over the cap you are, but obviously I was wrong?
My question is, what is the MAXIMUM $$$ I can sign up to without the players replying saying "The league will not allow... blah blah blahh...???"
Thanks.

Did you lower the amount to pay for the player to 385 or was he asking for 385? i found that if you lower the amount to 385, the league wont accept
the max $ you can sign a player for is how much you have left in your salary cap. you can resign for however much you want, but there is a maximum somewhere depending on age, rookie stuff etc...

I am pretty sure I lowered it. I signed another player asking for 385K, and they actually accepted it.
QUOTE BY LAXATION: "the max $ you can sign a player for is how much you have left in your salary cap."
I was in the negatives and I was able to sign Desagna Diop for 807K...
I know that you can sign 385K players even if you are like -1,000,000, but why was I able to sign Diop for 807K then?
Also, I think this was in 2005, but I was in the negatives, and was able to sign Alvin Williams to a $1 MIL contract for one year?

both
you cant sign a player (not sposed to be able to) for over 385k if youre over the salary cap, if you did its a bug
