Was this a good trade?

Postby air2k5 on Mon Jan 23, 2006 4:50 pm

I have just started my new Dynasty with the Nuggets and after falling to 2-2 I desided to acquire Yao. I traded Marcus Camby for Yao Ming I figured it would be a better trade in a long run. First I like Yao's shot more I find it easier to make, then I love the Inside Scorer Superstar, the hook shots and stuff, what do you guys think? a good trade?

Pretty Fair. Camby is sick when it comes to blocking and rebounding. He can also put up some good numbers on the offensive end.

Yao Ming will be a dominant player in the long stretch.

good trade for yao. though i dont like the fact that u want dirk, cause then u dont have a power post player on your team and also can play defense. nene and elson dont count.

dirk is soft and his d is not that good

martin and yao togather thats a beastly pair

good idea

Postby oscarhyper on Tue Jan 24, 2006 6:03 pm

it's a fantastic trade,how did u got it?
i'm a Chinese guy,and i like yao ming as well
you did pretty good yao is superstar pointer(inside) and a good defender, his block is great, but it's not the the real Yao
i think yao's overall should be about 80--84,in the game it's too high

I can only agree with the others. Yao is the better allrounder in my opinion, so you don´'t have to concentrate to score from the inside when he has the ball.

Acquireing Dirk will be tough. They have no free roster space to go for a trade with more players involved. Honestly I can't see a way of getting Dirk without trading Yao after resigning him to match the $. Maybe you should consider trading for another player e.g. Antawn Jamison. He's a Dirk-type player although he's not as good.

WIth the Roster Update Yao's overall is 85, pretty decent, he does not block too well for me, I will post some screenies, I won vs Miami 120-98 Yao scored 40 pts, I play 8 min qtrs. Anyway to your question I jsut proposed a trade to Houston, Yao for Camby, tehy agreed.
Now, should I make a new thread, or can you guys anwer this. I hate the way Andre plays now, who can I trade him for?

What are you searching for? Good passer or shooter? If yes then try to get Rafer Alston but I'd suggest keeping Miller for another trade and get rid of Boykins.

Dirk is insane, he can block shots and nobody can stop him from scoring down low, when i play with him it gets boring to use him cuz he hits all his shots down low, unless its the end of the game and the PC jips me, lol

Get rid of Boykins????!!!!!
Just this game vs Mil he scored 13 5-8 shooting, and it was off bench, here I will even get some screens, I can't seem to do shit with Miller.
I am looking for somebody who can shoot, and dencet passing, no need for playmaker superstar. I was thinking of Ridnour but his salry is way less, it won't go through.

Here is a box score, I did not play too well though :(

CHeck the box scores out, it was my 6th game of the Dynasy, I am not 4-2, BUcks were 4-0 prior to this game. Andre blows on my team, the most he scored was 6 pts, I can't seem to learn his shot, and miss layups.

Well it depends... I'm really a fan of Alston, I traded for him in my Suns Dynasty and he won 6th man 3 seasons in a row. Another Option is Sarunas Jasikievicius. Really good shooter and decent passing skills.

He's a very good shooter. If I remember right he has a 3pt Rating of 77 and is good in FG and FT. He reminds me a little bit of Salim Stoudemire which is a great shooter too but Sarunas is more solid in the other categories.
