installing jersey updates that are .rar files

To put it lightly, I am not a computer wizard. But I love NBA Live 06, and appreciate all the work you guys put into the jersey, roster, and court updates on this site. Great stuff.
My computer incompetency didn't matter much when the only instructions were "put in the sgsm folder". But some of these files are .rar files, and I haven't a clue what to do with them.
Can anyone tell me?

extract them in the sgsm folder...
winrar is something like winzip, is compresses that files into 1 file so its easier to download. get winrar from rarsoft.com and you're set.
