Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

as with previous versions of Live this game is plagued with funky rookies. The fact that every SG is a migit aside, it's the ratings that are rather annoying.
For example (all real) you'll have a guy that has a FG & 3pnt rating of 40, but an 80 from the FT line. That doesn;t make sense, the FT line is a good indicator of who's a good shooter. Not to mention that the guy wouldn't be able to knock down open shots.
The you'll have a guy that can really jump, but is very slow. Or a SF that dribbles worse than Shaq, and when he makes a move the ball falls out of his hands, a move i've never seen in the NBA.
So if you do find a guy that can shoot, he'll be too slow and vice versa. I got an almost perfect C rookie. He's 7'1, 290lbs, has some excellent ratings for his position (90stngth & jumping) but his dunk rating is 36, which means he never dunks.
There should also be a natural progression of some attributes regardless of "potential". One example is Stamina....no player stays the same in this category from their rookie season to their sophomore. Even w/o playing, the training itself would improve a players stamina. So they should have some players increase their stamina by 15pnts from year 1 to yr 2 and slow down after, and some guys just 4,5pnts. This system would work nice if it were determined by minutes played.
Same as defensive/offensive awareness. Every players defensive awareness and offensive awareness should improve without specific training. It's only logical, that if your out on the court, you'll be able to better read the game, whether or not that actually increases your D.
