Dunkpacks

Postby bigh0rt on Sun Dec 11, 2005 5:23 am

Are they the same 1-17 deal as in 2005, like outlined here: http://www.nba-live.com/nba2005/dunkpack.php

Thanks.

For the lazy guys...

Code: Select all
A player's Dunk Package (DUNKPACK) controls the types of dunks he can perform, with the values ranging from 1-17.
1:    Layups from close range
2:    A wider variety of layups including layups from further out
3:    Layups only, suitable for less athletic players
4:    Mostly layups with a one handed dunk (performed rarely)
5:    Mostly layups but with basic one and two handed dunks (performed more often in the open court)
6:    Mostly one handed dunks with some two handed slams
7:    A few show dunks (performed rarely)
8:    An assortment of one and two handed dunks, suitable for most players of average height and athletic ability
9:    Dunks for more athletic players; includes gliding dunks
10:    Some spectacular dunks including some more powerful dunks; good for athletic forwards
11:    Some spectacular dunks including some more powerful dunks; good for athletic guards
12:    Plenty of spectacular dunks; includes powerful, gliding and 360 dunks
13:    Various big man dunks
14:    More athletic big man dunks
15:    Shaquille O'Neal Suite: Powerful one and two handed dunks
16:    Air Jordan/Doctor J dunks - all dunks, including free throw line
17:    Shawn Bradley/Yao Ming - dunks ideal for players over 7'2"

Iverson most certainly can dunk, and did quite frequently early in his career. He'll do a simple one hand stuff every now and again still on a wide open trip to the basket, but I think you're fooling yourself if you think Allen Iverson can't dunk a basketball.

Boykins can only touch the rim, he can't dunk(u have to jump about 1 foot higher to dunk over the rim.)

yeh no shit ai could dunk... everyones seen it

i think hes too old to be able to dunk well now  in one of the games on ESPN a while ago (vs lakers i think) he tried to dunk but couldnt get up high enough, and ended up missing the shot while he tried to adjust to a layup 8-)

i think he got some advice, probably from larry brown, that it would ease some of the wear on his body if he just layed it in, after his first few years teams were fouling him harder and harder to keep him from finishing his shots after contact, then the injuries started to mount. and knowing how much he hates not being in the game he adjusted his style.

did he have the sleeve on his leg when he missed that dunk? i vaguely remember that.

stockton dunked alot, we all missed them though because we were always looking for some fancy pass.

actually stockton would probably do something like dunk at the quarter break when no one was paying attention or the camera's were off and didn't catch it. just to be sneaky.

I meant AI can't dunk in Live unless you change his dunkpack, I've seen that putback AI did several years ago, it was

I thought Bibby could dunk, too.

there are some nice clips at that iverson-xover site, a few from high school and others i had forgot about. when i read through this thread i was curious because i know he had a little power to his dunks, but it had been so long since he did any but basic ones i forgot about alot of them.
