Dynasty Stories? Explain...

Postby The Random on Tue Dec 06, 2005 3:19 pm

Hi everyone i'm new to the Forum but i'm a huge basketball fan. I have played almost every NBA Live game dating back to the old ones on Super Nintedo and Sega Genesis all the way up to today games on PS2.

I'm loving this forum so far and thats why i joined but whats with all the Dynasty Stories? i see all these people posting up theres stats and news on there Dynasty progress so far but whats the point of it? I don't mean it like that but why is everyone doing this, what do they get back from it?

should be in dynasty issues i suppose

i dunno feedback, its something to do. u dont like it? just dont come to the dynasty stores section then.

i mean, playing the game is nice and all, but doing something about the game other than just playing it is worthwhile.

I think the dynasty mode is a lot more fun when you can let others see what you're doing.

It's pretty much a creative outlet...but sometimes it can make Dynasty Mode more fun since you're getting right into it, living out the fantasy so to speak. ;)

for some reason...i like to trade, sign free agent, and etc just like it is happening in real life... unless i cant get the trade or whatsoever, then i make some decisions myself
or i just make a fantasy draft dynasty, then make all decisions myself :)

The first year I did it(2004) it was basically blogging as if I was right with the team (or being the GM of course) and expressing exacting WHY I did such actions like a trade or a switch in a lineup or something of the sort... and just like blogs, if people we're willing to comment...that's just fine but if not, it was like a reference point that I can look back at, especially when a new guy came on the team and such...

...for others, it was also a way to share their creative juices...like new jerseys or new patches, or when people made cyberfaces of other community members, they got to see themselves in the game...

That's true as well, it's a fine way to gain and share advice.

Well now that i understand it now and it sounds really fun and interesting to do, when i start my Dynasty on 06' would it still be cool if i used my creative player-self in the game.

I did that when i started my NBA Live 2005 game.
