I got the same problem... my system is

Intel P4 3.2 GHz
1 GB DDR2 Ram
ASUS ATI X700 256 MB

I can do everything without matches, but when playing, it quits in the first quarter after a black screen... I guess its a problem related to the graphic card that I'm using because it quits not only in nbalive 2006, but also other games... Hence, I've downloaded the latest driver for my graphic card but the problem still remains..:!!

any suggestion ??

are you overclocking your card? ati comes with a control center where you can check your cards temperatures, look for that and post them here.

I don't think that I do...

the values are set to default. the interval for "engine" is [300,500] and it is set to 400. and the interval for "memory" is [440,560] and it is set to 500.

do you have any suggestions for these values, or should I do something else ?

btw,in my control centre I cant check its temperature. but Im using an intel mainboard and I can check the temperature there and everything's normal there.

ysf... i have no idea. have you tried omega drivers? engine and memory speeds look okay, and if the temperatures are normal that shouldn't be a problem.
