Question on gameplay settings

Tue Nov 08, 2005 6:15 am

i was wondering what does the fakeout discipline slider do towards gameplay? i've taken it all the way to 100 and then to 0 but i still dont see any effect it has towards gameplay. Also, what are the effects of the adjusted shot percentage and poor realease shot percentage sliders? what do higher values and a lower values do to your shots?

thank you

Its best to post stuff like this in the sliders thread.

But, as I understand them:

Fakeout discipline is how much the computer buys your shot fakes. Set at 100, in theory, they won't buy fakes. At 0, again in theory, they will go for a lot more.

Adjusted shot % is the likeliness of a shot going in, if it is 'adjusted' by a defender (in other words, a defender tries to block your shot, and is in your face). 100 is more likely to drop, 0 is less likely to drop.

Poor release % slider affects shots when you have released the shoot button at the wrong time. 100 even poorly timed shots have a great chance of dropping, 0, and you have to get it pretty much perfect.

Hope that helps.

is there a thread in this forum that explains each of those long list options?? it'll be great if there were.

The best thing to do is go to the sliders thread. I would use a set of sliders (such as mine, brad feets or playmakers), and then play around with them until you get them perfect for your style. As far as I know, there isn't a complete list of what each slider does anywhere.
