NBA Live 06 PS2

Hi, im from the uk. I have been a NBA Live fan since I bought 2004 and have always bought the PS2 version. But this time round I have heard that the rosters are on the PS2 game are majorly behind the times eg Joe Johnson still at Suns, also with rookies missing like Salim. Could you tell me what other trades or signings have not been updated because this is very disappointing. I would buy the PC version but I only have a laptop and I am almost certain it couldnt handle it. Also before you ask I do not have PS2 online so I cannot download rosters from there. Do you know any way I can update the rosters myself and then move them into Dynasty Mode? Sorry for all the questions its just I go to the shops in the next few days so I dont know whether to get it or get disappointed.

Man the roster is almost a history roster! The only trade I've seen was the big deal with Walker, Posey...Scalabrine an Borchardt are in Boston...but yeah I think that was it. I made a list with missing players and I count 20 or 25, thats very dissapointing! Creating a player will take long time because the sliders move very slow. But...I will create them...whatever! If you have the chance to play the PC-version...buy it, because you will save a lot of time!!!

I would love to buy the PC version but I really dont think my computer could take it. Is it a large game to install? Also do you need a good videocard?

Well trades and signings/releases happen like almost every day up till the trade deadline? So it is impossible that after they have made the game and put it on the shop shelves worldwide the rosters are perfectly up to date. I just went through the nba.com transactions page and created Salim and the other missing rookies and my game is almost perfectly up to date right up to today. Don't let the rosters put you off the game, there is a perfect source for updating lineups and transactions, while there are several very good CAPS around too.

Ok so basically you are saying it is worth getting the PS2 version? Is there any way I can take the rosters I have changed into Dynasty Mode?

Yeh man, I'm from UK too and I have had the game for nearlly 2 weeks. I haven't quite started my dynasty yet, I'm still sorting sliders and get a decent feel for the game. I have done all the transactions possible right up to Pheonix signing Jared Reiner yesterday, and I have created 11 players and I'm doing more right now. I've bought the Live series since 98, I've had 98, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 06 and 06 is the best IMO.

Cool, nice to see some more love for the UK. Can you tell me how to move your new rosters and players into dynasty mode? Or do you just play season mode?

You just load up your rosters normally and when you go into dynasty mode it tells you that the current rosters will be used in dynasty mode and they need to be saved before you start the dynasty or you will lose them. Like in Live 2005

Hey bro wait till the rosters are finalized. Then start updating.

I just update them daily atm, so it means less to do when they are finalized, but yeh if someone hasn't done them yet they may as well wait for the final cuts to be made

Yea, if you can manage to wait until November 1, im pretty sure that is when they are releasing a roster update for the PS2
Do you have an online adaptor?

I don't, but I do all my roster updates myself so I'm not concerned.

Can anybody give me a list of players that I need to create myself? Thanks

Go to this forum, has lots of good CAPS with ratings for the players too.
Main players to make though:
Salim Stoudamire, Wayne Simien, Eddie Basden, Monta Ellis, Charles Smith, Smush Parker IMO.

Appreciate the help bro, should be getting the game tomorrow so Im looking forward to adding the players.
