Pass it to your nearest big man, preferably one with a Power Superstar, hold on the Superstar button and dunk. Repeat this on every single play. man, what Difficulty do you play on? That never works on Superstar mode.

EA is off the money on this strategy. They say the NBA is a game of offense, and that offense ultimately wins games. But the world champion is usually one of the best defensive teams.
EA has built a backwards game where it's impossible to play defense and where offense wins championships.
They also have this concept of 'superstars' completely wrong. Even the greatest superstars don't win without teamwork. A superstar stopper is nice, but team defense stops scoring. Even Michael Jordan and Wilt never won championships until they leared to play a team game and had a decent team around them.
When the basic premise is wrong, there's no way to create a great game.
