Practice Court Patch (Version 1.1)

Postby Andreas Dahl on Sat Oct 15, 2005 7:17 am

Update 15 Sept: v1.1

I've finally made a long overdue update for my Practice Court patch (v1.1) for NBA Live 06. Main differences are the hardwood and the lighting which is completely remade; but there's also many, many smaller updates. Personally, I think it's a big improvement from the last one, and I hope you think so to... Check out the 'Read Complete Article' link for screenshots and some more info.

And since the last triva didn't get any correct answer, here's an easier one:

Andreas, amazing work, it looks quite handsome

Does this patch make that court playable for 5 on 5?

Thanks guys (y)

Cable Guy, No, it's rather new. And I have no idea wheather it'll work for 2005 or not. The instalation wont, but the files might..

Anthony15, Not quite

Devin112, The patch itself isn't for 5on5, but I recon it can farily easily be turned into a teams' homecourt. PM me if you want the instrucitons.

Oh. Well in that case, I'll have to think harder. All I can remember is that it's a guy whistling with his hands in his pockets, and he moves back and forth.

I've gotten two questions about it already, so I might as well post it:
The files that are patched will be placed in your SGSM/ folder and is named 'pgym***', rename those to fit the team that you want to play on it as their home court (Atlanta - atla***, Boston - bost*** and so forth...). Now, open pgym.viv with BigGUI and extract the files that I didn't update with my patch (pgymbbd.ebo, pgymbbd_refl.ebo, pgymbbd_trans.ebo, pgymstd_3dcrowd.ebo, pgymstd_bloom.ebo, pgymstd_scriptporInfo.o) and put those files in your \SGSM folder. Then rename those the same way you renamed the other files.
    And that's it...

edit: When doing this you'll have the bench players at midcourt, and the circle from the dunk practice... Plus possible cammera 'glitches'

And no Colin, it's not from HomestarRunner.. Nice try tho :)

Good patch, but i don't like this year practice court at all. It's too dark, in my opinion.

Instead of that I prefer to practice in empth stadium. Thats what I made :

Good work Andreas! It's nice, but I'd prefer something like you did last year. Or maybe something in between, like a mini arena. (I guess the last one's impossible to do)

Anyways,

The only way I've found to get rid of the bench players is to turn them off =\

then to turn off reflections, cause their reflections will still appear in the middle of the court....

Also i saw in your court that u still have that annoying grey area around one of the 3 point archs, your welcome to use some of my files to get rid of that
Opinions are my own.
