Work Ethic and Learning

Has anybody figured out what Work Ethic and Learning mean in the players.dbf file. Does anyone know what they affect in the game. I think work ethic has to do with the way your player progresses when you assign a coach to him, but I have no idea what learning is all about.

Learning might have to do with how easy they can gain higher ratings
