How do I, as a post (C, PF), stop a guard (short and fast dude) who's coming for a lay-up?
Everytime, when I know the guard is sooo coming for a lay-up, I "stand still" "outside" of the semi-circle under the hoop with 2 of my hands up straight, I still get a foul....

Hopefully they will trade Peja for Artest and both teams will be fine!

turn down in air collision fouls, and dont just put your hands up, actually jump, if you feel the guy is starting to drive switch to one of your big guys right away and step out a few feet and meet him

as he's about to jump or start his layup motion, you jump and that should block him. It helps having good interior defenders.

Basically it's all about timing

it doesn't really matter though. cuz even if you do block him, or force him to miss, some scrub will just pick up the loose ball/offensive rebound, and jam it home for 2

The offensive rebounds was annoying at first, but you DO get used to it, by that i mean, boxing out really works this year and isn't a stupid animation like in 05 where you get the ghost effect, you'll notice, say with the spurs, controll Mohammed, hold down on the right analog and box out the nearest rebounder, then cpu controlled Duncan will go for the rebound, its kinda different but its how it is... And just like in real basketball, if your always jumping in the air for a block shot, you can never be in position for a rebound, so practice boxing out, it works...
