I think LeBron definately deserved it because he now has an overall of 95 and is a very valuable player, so i think he'll have to be on the front cover of 07.

They should consider putting up some of the elites, veterans (however u may wanna call them) and other long time good players on the cover depending on the impact they bring in the game. I suppose they figure they're keeping up with the times by putting the new, popular players on the cover. Also depends on which stars are available ie. not signed to deals with other game developers.
