Change Icon passing icon on pc?

Hi, I asked this question in the general forums, but no one answered, and I realized maybe i should have asked it here. Is there anyway to change the icons for icon passing, since Id like to have it display the icons on my controller. Thanks

sorry to re-open such an old post but I have similar idea. Is there anyway someone can make the passing icons into the ps2 or xbox360 ones. I've seen this on other 2k and live forums for icons. Can this be done in 06, it would be really valuable (word icons are annoying)

I can't recall whether NBA Live 06's Direct Pass icons are text strings or art files. If they're art files then replacing/modifying them should certainly be feasible.

The direct icons are text strings when you push the button. They say pass, block, shoot, and dunk for the icons. It would just be better if they were symbols. I guess that means a no go then?

Depends whether that text is stored as an image or in the language file. If they're actually art files which contain those words, then it's feasible.

Well, I've taken a look through the art files, just about everywhere they could be, and I couldn't find them anywhere. I did actually find a few art files that contained the PS2 and Xbox controller icons as well as the Chinese and Korean versions of the direct pass icons (which are stored as art files), but no luck finding the English ones. My guess is that it's text in the language file, which we can't replace with icons. If anyone knows otherwise, by all means please point us in the right direction as far as the art file is concerned. Replacing the icons themselves would be an easy task, as long as they are stored as art files and we can locate them.
