Yes, the centrino is more powerful than a P4, but it's designed to save power, and the clock speed is lower, though the caches are larger to compensate for that. For games, you need higher clock speed, and the caches don't really matter. The video card goes is the same. I assume you mean Geforce 6600, when you use a Pentium M processor, the video cards are also the "mobile" version. I actually have never seen a Pentium M paired with a good video card like the 6600, because the PM is there to save power and it is usually paired with a weak but less power consuming video cards like "intel extrem graphics." anyways, i wouldn't count on a Pentium M to run games. At least you have 1gb of ram!
maybe you are not very familar with computers..
Go read some reviews on Pentium M's game performances against P4's.. Ghz do not really mean anything.. look at the AMD 64.. it is about how many instructions can be done per clock.. the PM 1.8ghz is easily comparable to a 3.0ghz P4.. go 6600 means geforce go 6600. which is a mobile version.. it is not as fast as the deskstop version but like i said it is approx equiv to a 9700pro..
to futher support more GHZ doesn't mean anything, well now we are coming up with dual core which does not increase the clock speed, and Intel is moving away from the horrible P4 core to upgraded PM core for their future CPUs..
like bluetooth i am disappointed at the speed.. i don't get it.. yes i have all my drivers up to date
i'm sure the ps2 version and xbox are optimized very well and run at a much lower resolution than the PC one.. but still.. i just like to know wut other ppl's performances are like..
