In my experience, the thing broke on me in two months. Two different models, so I got myself a Thrustmaster Dual Action Gamepad (y) I heard Saitek is good too.

Wow, what a detailed, informative post. Maybe a little info to back up why he shouldn't get it? I have the Wirless Logitech Rumble Pad and it's great. It's built well and works without issue. I've had mine for a year and a half and as long as I feed it good batteries it doesn't miss a beat. Set up is easy (usb) and the rumble works as long as the game supports it.

Let me elaborate on that for him. The logitech dual action controller is very buggy.. There are hundreds of complaints on logitechs website about it.
What happens is that it loses calibration after a month or two. and you are only able to move your players in a specific direction. It make playing the game impossible. Many people have tried reinstalling the os, updated driver (even buy another logitech dual analog which ends up with the same problem ). Logitech has done nothing to resolve that problem.

Here is a link or two to show what i mean.

DONT BUY THAT CONTROLLER. I BEG OF YOU..

Dont get it. Mine only lasted for 6 months before it started to stuff up. It kept going in one direction no matter how many times you recalibrate it. And i didnt even use it that much.

If you own an XBOX or PS2 i highly recommend buying a controller adaptor and using your console controllers for pc. I got mine at a local game shop here in aus for about $20 which would roughly $14 US ?? That way you save alot of money and you have a very durable control pad that your already used to playing with.

Ive been using my xbox controller for over 2yrs now with no problems at all :D
``They play the game the way it's supposed to be played,'' Iverson said. ``It's not about athletics. That's the game the way Karl Malone and John Stockton play it. It's good for kids to see how the game is supposed to be played.''
