Passing Problem ....

I was wondering, can you control the player you WANT to pass it to, by using the direct passing icon but also use the face buttons and the left trigger to make a "playmaker" play? What I am saying is.... Does the "playmaker" hold the L trigger and then whatever face button, does the computer make the decisions as to who gets the ball if its 3 on 1 or can I control that with the direct pass button and choose who I want to get the ball and make an around the back pass to them?

You can use off the ball. Then just press regular passing button to pass to the guy you're off the ball with. As to using playmaker from the guy passing it when you're not controlling it sounds like something EA wouldn't do.

Haven't actually tried that but I don't think you can do it. It would be a bit of an awkward combo to pull off smoothly most of the time. I'll give it a shot though.
