Question of "Superstars"

Postby ctinsley12 on Sat Sep 24, 2005 9:10 am

I have read in reviews that each team averages about 2 Freestyle Superstars, what about a really good role player like this for example. Shaq and D-Wizzle are obivous Freestyle Superstars, IGN has listed their capabilities, what about Damon "My jumper is butter" Jones? with his 3 point shooting, will he be an outside shooter, is it possible, for several role players to have ONE freestyle ability?????????????????

that will be gay if the players can have only one freestyle ability, but a guy like shaq will probably have Scorer and Stopper so...i think the players can have more than 1

I already know SHAQ has more than one.... IGN Rated the TOP 25 players and listed what they can do.... Im talking about ROLE PLAYERS like Damon Jones.... clearly one of the better trey ball shooters in the league.

Why wouldn't it be possible. I would like to hear of this role player with more than one superstar ability though.

Yes, as long as their rating is good enough, all the players on a team can have the same superstar ability; it doesn't matter how many already got it.

It doesn't matter if he's a 'role player' or not.. as long as he can shoot, he'll probably be a shooter.

like this is what Im saying, reviews are saying teams usualy have 2 Freestyle Superstars on each team. IGN listed the players , alot of them have many Different labels, DWADE is a STOPPER, INSIDE SCORER, DUNKER, etc. What about somebody on the Heat that's not a "DWADE" type, like Damon Fucking Jones, he can hit the trey, thats what he does. Can he and other players that are not big names, i.e. like the TOP 25 on IGN, can they have at least ONE freestyle label, even though they say each team averages 2 freestyle superstars. THIS AINT HARD TO UNDERSTAND.

Everything we're saying isn't hard to understand. You don't understand what we're saying.

Carlos Delfino can have a superstar ability if he's good enough.

Before you pop another vein about your beloved Damon "I'm with Cleveland now" Jones, you probably can train him to build up his attributes to become a superstar. If not, you can always edit/increase his skills to become a superstar. Even though a role player may not be a superstar, that doesn't necessarily mean he cannot work his way up to become a superstar.

yeh it doesnt matter, if hes good at shooting, he'll be a Shooter

and it doesnt mattr if people have the same thing

the Spurs have 5 superstars and the Nuggets have 4, they obviously overlap in alot of areas

my starting 5 are all superstars :P

they can have two superstar abilities, one in defence and one in offence.
eg, ben and rash wallace both inside stoppers, and also inside scores/power scorers

yes, u can have as many offensive abilities as you want, but u can only use 1 of them per game (1 offensive, 1 defensive)

eg, T-Mac and Kobe have EVERY superstar ability except for Power Player and Inside Stopper, but u have to choose which will be used

lol, it's not hard to understand. IT doesn't matter if you're a superstar or not.... it doesnt matter if half the NBA doesnt know you, if you can shoot, make plays, or anything above average, you'll have an ability.

you have to go to 'Roster Management' and then choose it, it can get annoying because there isnt just a menu for it when u choose jerseys and things, it should be more readily available

exactly
remeber im 05 how you had the little pics saying if you could dunk, shoot 3;s etc.
instead of that this year, they have superstars... so even a no-name rookie picked up in the free agent market can be a 'superstar' if theyre good enough

But just in case anybody's wondering, none of the benchwarmers have a Superstar Freestyle ability (at least none that I've encountered). For the most part it's reserved for the top players, borderline stars and talented role players.

Just wondering.

Yes, as I said talented role players do have those abilities. Some guys have been snubbed (like Zo and Mutombo, most likely due to their age) but that's easily fixed.
