I am having this same problem as well. But I have the ATI Raedon X850 XT PLAT Edition card....ATI's best card. Call me crazy but the game should have no issues with a card such as this. I don't have another PC that has the req specs to run the game so I can't verify if thats the problem but I have spoken to EA Tech support and they were no help and they didn't even mention that it could be the video card.
Anyone have any suggestions

i have a 660gt and 64bit system and mines is crashing like crazy. i format and i have the same problem as iggyemu.

Interesting mine is also a 64bit system. AMD Athlon 64 fx-57 to be exact. That could be a potential reason. Your vid card is a different brand and its one of their better cards but not their best meaning that its been out for a while so it should be supported once you have updated drivers. Interesting. And I would never format my PC for a game such as Live. EA Tech support asked me to do the same thing...I was about to flip on them...your game should work with my system once the required specs are met...end of story.

I'm running an AMD 64 3200 with a Radeon x700 PCI-E without an issue. I don't think its the processor. I remember before on Live 05 guys were having similar issues and it was due to DirectX I think.

I tried the game on my win 2k parition because someone suggested it might be the OS. It works fine on win2k. However I still can't narrow it down to what the problem is because I haven't updated my drivers for my video card on win2k. The drivers on there now are the original ones. But we can rule out the 64 bit processor. Its either my copy of winXP which plays all other games well.....or its my video card drivers. Also ATI catalyst is installed on XP and it isn't on 2k which could be another root of the problem.

Hey, i had same problem, but i solved it by upgrading my directx9b to direct9c. And everything goes ok now. Good luck

How did you do the upgrade? I noticed that when I install NBA Live on winxp its asks me to if I want to install directx 9c as well and I do but when I check dxdiag the version is still 9.0b. I tried doing it with the redistrubtion pack of 9c from softpedia and its the same thing? I think that might be the problem...but the question is...how do I upgrade to 9.0c?

I was using 2 programs. First one uninstaled dx9b, secondone upgraded it to 9c, but i cant remember how they ar called. Try to search in forums about dat. gl
