Live 05 -> Live 06

I wasn't here when 05 came out, so I have a question about patching. Was it possible to modify 04 patches so you could use them for 05? and do you think that will be possible for 05 to 06?

That is a very good question, I wish I knew the answer, and it better be a Yes because then c0nr4d and you would have spent all your time making my team jersey for basically nothing!

Yeah, it is possible...and has been done before from all versions. '03 -> '04, '04 -> '05, and so on. Even if some formats aren't exactly the same it isn't difficult to edit.

That's good to know, especially since I'm in the middle of my NHL Patch #2. I was wondering whether or not to continue it for Live 05 or go to 06.

it could be possible if they use the same format as they did for 2005

With a bit of work it should be possible, more so for graphics patches since the differences in the dbfs make converting roster patches a very lengthy and difficult process. It's easier to simply make them from scratch.
