needs some comments with dynasty(raptors) for 06

well since that ea has once again made the dynasty mode a little bit deeper..it makes me want to play in dynasty mode even more but..since i do live in canada...ofcourse you support your own team! YEAH!
so i play as raptors..and as you know...raptors are once again..rebuilding and i gotta couple of questions or suggestion.

1.who should i build my team around, charlie vill', graham, or bosh? who should be my super star to say:P

2. what trades you think might work out with raptors? i uno but i am just curious what other people think they can pull off.

3.should i make my team play like while it was under oneil?? or like sam? personally i like sam better. doesn't ditch their players:P.

4 what do you think the raptors will really need? as in players? like a nice big pf?, a quality star? or what?

5 who should i dump on raptors:P like player i would like to trade?

sorry about those questions..i know they're pretty...well off topic from this thread but i am VERY optimistic about this game and i just really want some suggestions of how should build my dynasty. i am just curious whst people think. i uno what i really want is people's suggestion not like asnwers for ym question but i want comments:P

Chris Bosh should be your superstar...That guy will but up some awesome numbers next season! And the new guy you guys got in the draft is going to be very good as well. But for 06 season I think you should build around Chris Bosh.

I like playing with PG/SG or SF so Id build around Joey Grahm. As far as what your team needs, Id go with a center. I wouldnt trade Bosh definatly not. If you suck through the first half, then just bomb it and get a good draft pick and sign some people. You might want to trade Jalen Rose. Hes like 31 and his Salary is HUGE. That way you can sign a good FA. Hope that helps

true true most people think just like me:) i honestly don't jalen rose..for a guy paid 14 million...or something like that... he don't play very well for a guy paid that amount of cha-ching!!! i am very optimistic having joey graham either like turn out to be a scorer or higflyer and chris bosh power..lot's of fun:) yeah i will trade jalen rose..that guy is not much of a superstar in my eyes..but for who? young guy or a experienced vet??? btw will raptor's salary cap be free? or tight in the negatives?

I too am from Canada, and I to always play with the Raps in Dynasty. I would hold on to Jalen if I were you, just because he becomes a free agent either this summer or next, so you'll have alot of money to sign guys. I would build around specifically Bosh and Grahm because Charlie's game overlaps Bosh's. As for the coaching style? Neither. Go with good ol' Lenny Wilkins, the man who got them to the playoffs

My opinion. Keep the team as it is, dont ditch Jalen. Decide whether or not to extend his contract based on how he plays, a veteran playing well is always good for a team. Build around Bosh, no doubt about that, Joey and Charlie will be great in the future. I reccomend doing your best to turn Villanueva into a centre, because a big guy with inside moves, and a touch from the outside is a deadly weapon. If you cant get consistency from Mo Pete, then i suggest placing him on the trading block, but if no one offers anything decent for him, then dont give him up. I would stay with Mitchell as head coach, i thought he did a good job with the raps this previous season. This is how i plan on doing my dynasty with the raptors.

I'll be playing with the Raps too (maybe Nets) and I'm going to build my team around Bosh, Graham and Sow. I'm telling you... Sow is a poor man's Ben Wallace. And I will most likely put Sow at the C position. Keep Rose, because you need some veterans, and get a point guard!!!! Alston is a good backup, but not even a decent starter. I would draft a PG or try to get one in a trade. Offer one or both Williams', Araujo, and/or Mo Pete. They will never develop any further. I would release Alvin Williams or just keep him till his contract expires. I may also create PG Roko Ukic and maybe develop him with the Player Development feature. Thats all you really need to do with the Raptors. Once Rose's contract is up, you let him go or sign him back for less money. Then, try to sign other role players or guys you think you can develop in the off season at minimum contracts. Bosh, Graham, Bonner, Sow and Villanueva should develop nicely if you train them good with your trainers. That should create a good basis for a team that can make a playoff run. Don't expect to do it all in the first year, so wait for the second or third year when these guys overalls go up and will make your team a contender. My starting lineup (maybe you should do the same) for the first season will be C Sow, PF Bosh, SF Graham, SG Rose, PG Ukic, or Alston. You have to get a good draft pick to get another good player in the first draft, so if you lose a lot of games, who cares, because once those guys develop you'll have a good team. The only other option is to trade everyone but Bosh and Graham and get other 'stars' in return.

Pape Sow isnt that bad...hes actually a pretty good rebounder and hes ALOT better than Arujo....Aujo just sucks, but he'll probably develope in a couple of yers.

I agree with the idea of turning Charlie V into a center, The one change i would immediately make is trying to trade Alston for one of those top rookie Pg from this years draft, preferrably Paul, while their ratings are close, you may need to do some maneuvering financially to pull it off though. I would keep Jalen, he can score and he is a decent big guard. When his contract is up you can resign him for cheap or let him go and have some cap flexibility. I wouldn't trade for Iguadola because Graham had his defensive skills plus a decent shot and is more athletic and a better ballhandler. My real focus would be on the bench, mainly a backup point and a more offensive forward...say...a Bobby Simmons type player who is a bit underated.
That's my two cents.....
And to the loser who is bashing the team and GM (JJT), i guarantee you will be eating your words in three years.

Bosh. He's only 21, a body eerily reminicent of Garnett, has a good work ethic and is exciting to watch on both ends of the court.

Whatever floats your boat. You really have to really tinker and experiment with different things like trades and it's kind of hard to predict how the trade logic will be like, so this is a question I'll just leave unanswered.

Kevin O'Neill played with a more set-up half court oriented system with a ton more emphaiss on defence, sort of like Jeff Van Gundy. I'd say that Sam Mitchell's system utilizes the running game a lot more while still trying to get guys to play at least some defence and bring it on both ends of the court.

I'd prefer Mitchell's system, mainly because it's more fun to watch, and it'll probably be how the default Raptors will be set up.

A decent center because Hoffa doesn't look like he'll be playing extremely well next season, Loren Woods isn't starter material, Pape Sow is still too raw, and Charlie can't play center just yet.

Jalen Rose. As much of a fan I am of Rose, his 16 million a year for the next two seasons is just too much. He should be rated pretty high in the game, so I think he'll be easy to trade for like Penny Hardaway and a second rounder or something.

Eric Williams, Aaron Williams and Alvin Williams should all be tossed out. They're not going to be helping us anytime soon anyway.

By the way, when the '06 dynasty stories forum comes up and when I get the game, I'm probably going to post my Raptors dynasty, so I hope every Raptor fan will tune in to that.

Bosh. He's proven, he's a star, and he's probably the best player on the Raptors right now; and he's still young.

I like Sam's run and gun game, it suits the Raptors, because they can't play defense.

A center. Bosh is a good PF, and we kinda have the other positions filled out, but we desperately need a center. Maybe Charlie V can hold the fort for a little while, but I doubt he'd do anything substantial.
