Who would you rather build your team around??
Joey Graham, or Gerald Green

Gerald Green for sure. I don't think he can be worse than Graham. Joey is strong and all that, but I think he will never be an important player in the NBA. Scouts say that Green has a lot of potential and skills. So I would choose GG. (Y)

Gerald Green in about 3-4 years.

Ya'll really think EA will give a HS player picked after Graham a better rating?

EA says they rate mostly according to stats and record, so Green doesn't have much to go on. EA mostly likely, under-rates vs over rate.

Graham should be like a IGGY this year.

im not a spammer, just ignore that spamfest i did last week, put the past behind you

Try to stay on topic man.

I don't know why the hell you would put Graham and Green in the same sentence, but it's obvious who's everyone going to choose. Graham is 24 and although he can make an impact right away, he doesn't seem like he has much more potential.

Green on the other hand is a question mark. Like all highschoolers, he's inconsistent and his defence isn't going to impress many people, but his potential is obviously through the roof. But seriously, how many "next Tracy McGrady's" and "Next Kobe Bryant"s have we actually had?

i dont see why everyone is knocking joey graham, and i bet half of you havnt even seen him play. and as for not much potential? hes a great athlete, and if he worked on an outside shot could be a very effective player, and whether all this hype about green turns out to be true remains to be seen. you cant just guess these things cuz someone is younger and can jump higher.

Graham is a lot better than Green on defense. The question is to debate better offense with potential in Green, or very good defense, strong, slasher type player in Graham. Mike Bradford is probably right, most of you havn't even seen Graham play and side with Green right away because he's slated as the next T-Mac.

I didn't try to make Joey Graham look like he's inferior to Green (he's a Raptor anyway  ). It's just that Green is just a lot younger and has the skills to become a very good player in this league. Graham has potential as well, but it's not at the eyepopping level that can propel him into becoming a superstar, like Green.

see that sounds like someone actuall knows what they are talking about, but i was aiming at the people saying "Graham is a peice of shit", which clearly he's not. and yes, he sure is a raptor 8-).

Just cuz Joey cant dunk dont mean he isnt good, i mean dunkers are kinda overrated...Vince Carter might be good, but look what he did to the Raptors, he f*** up so many clutch shots that Jalen Rose would've made. I remember when Carter had around 7seconds, and he drove to the net and instead if doing a normal dunk (and he was wide open), but he decided to go for a revese layup...how f***ing dum is that? Could have been the hero of the game and given the Raptors a win, plus look what he did by leaving the team and refusing to give it his all on the court....carter...what a stupid mother f***er.

Joey Graham has a 36 inch verticle...... He's an athletic beast, otherwise he would not have been drafted as the 16th pick. And Toronto fans who blindly hate Vince Carter for such stupid reasons like you stated are downright ignorant.

Gerald Green:
NBA Comparison: Cuttino Mobley
Early entry candidate for the 2005 NBA Draft. Didn’t play basketball his freshman and sophomore years at Dobie High School in Houston. Played his junior season at Dobie, then transferred to Gulf Shores Academy, where he repeated his junior year and played his senior year. Originally committed to Oklahoma State. Named a 2004 McDonald’s All-American and played in the McDonald’s High School All-America game. Rated the top high school prospect in the nation by Rivals.com.
High School Career Highlights: Two-time All-State selection at Gulf Shores Academy. Named MVP of the Reebok ABCD All-Star Camp in the summer of 2004.

2005 Postseason All-Star Games: Scored a game-high 24 points on 8-for-12 shooting, including 6-for-9 from behind the arc, in the McDonald’s High School All-America Game. Also won the McDonald’s Slam Dunk Contest. Scored 17 points in the 2005 Roundball Classic, making 4-of-7 three-pointers.

Senior (2004-05): Averaged 33.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists.

Junior (2003-04): Averaged 28.8 points, 13.0 rebounds and 6.0 blocks, leading Gulf Shores to a 39-2 season.

Strengths: Tremendous athlete with great end-to-end speed and exceptional leaping ability. Has three-point range and the ability to beat people off the dribble.

Personal: Son of Gerald, Sr., a retired firefighter and Brenda Green. Was born at halftime of Super Bowl XX. Nickname is G-Money.

Joey Graham:
NBA Comparison: Caron Butler

Strengths: Graham is a tough nosed, no nonsense type, power 3 ... A physical specimen with great leaping ability who finishes very well … Has a chiseled body with excellent size, wingspan and great strength … Very tough player, enjoys contact, rebounds and takes the ball inside especially well … Has a very effective jump shot … Has range out to 18 feet, with excellent touch on his shot … Huge hands make him tough to rip the ball away from and give him an advantage on drives to the basket … Has a solid base and good rebounding fundamentals … Plays hard, hustles … Solid defender … Unlike many draft prospects Graham has the experience of 4 years of progression in college. He is one of the most NBA ready prospects out there … Extremely strong body, he can bench press over 400 pounds… Has good post skills with face up and back to the basket ability ... Excellent free throw shooter ...

Weaknesses: Plays a little stiff, mechanical… Doesn’t have great intangibles relating to ball skills … His vision, passing and ball handling are just average … Court awareness and feel for the game are just average … His ability to put the ball on the floor and create is a work in progress ... What you see is what you get, although he has shown great improvement offensively in his Senior season ...
