that definitely sounds ill as F***.......i like that they have an up and under and shoulder fake...the amount of options with the new freestyle controls is amazing and i cant wait to try it...if they balanced it as well as they said they did so its not over used then this will be a GREAT game.....i already thought the post game in live was very realistic because of all the contact and animations...as a 2k player i rarely saw that much contact....now with all the new moves its even better...

this is what worries me. i don't know if computer will change which superstar mode that they will use for multi-superstars like kobe for each game. Will he always be scorer unless user changes him to be high-flyer? So everytime I play against lakers, Kobe will be outside scorer and he'll not be able to make any high-flyer moves? unless i change it? I want computer to actually change what superstar mode that they will use for their superstar because that will impact the whole game style.

well i understan ur point but i have a reasonable argument for it.....if kobe has the inside scorer profile that doesnt mean he cant dunk....no matter what profile u put on kobe hes still gonna have that 90 or better in dunking....just cuz he cant do a super alley oop to self dunk in the middle of a game doesnt mean the dude cant still do some ill dunks using the dunk button........and just cuz he has the high flyer equipped doeasnt mean that kobe cant still hit a fadeaway jumper or driv it in for a layup na mean....the superstar system works perfectly when combined with player ratings...for a player like kobe u simply have more options then u would for a player such as jrich. whos limited to exciting dunks and cant get the ball to the hole like kobe... remember its all a a matter of taking advantage of a superstars strenths againstweaker defenders....its not meant to be somthing u use on every play...also it may seem lame but if ur THAT INTERESTED in having kobe throw himself an alley oop and slam it down then press start and switch the profiles.... i mean clearly well hope for them to make it able to switch profiles on the fly with the directional buttons or sumthin in the future...but even as it is the superstar freestlyes is stil a great addition...as far as the KG layup....Kg can score anyway he wants....that is wat is so amazing about KG he is recognized as a someone who can play extremely powerful for his size but has the athleticism to put suim finesse in there too.... i thought the first layup from behind the backboard was fine but i did find it a little awkward that he didnt dunk all over that fool on the fastbreak....but again they were showing the moves...if u want to just press the dunk button and dont use the freestyle moves and KG will dunk all over him as he should.....i think they will execute the superstar controls excellently.... all im worried about is that they keep their word as far as making the game balanced

KG has finesse in his game as well. at his current age he doesnt dunk half as much as he used to. the big ticket can do it all tho

wow, amazing options for the superstars of the league. this totally kicks 2k's butt all over the place. we're gonna all need manuals to learn how to play- imagine how hard it's gonna be if you have a team with an outside scorer, inside scorer, shooter, and dunker.

but it's gonna be fun once you get the knack for it.

WHat about defense? Did you notice the NBA champions in the last two years are teams that aren't flashy, and play great team defense? Is that in the game?

yes they have defensive superstar freestyle cntrols as well...the have inside stoppers like benwallace and they have outside stoppers as well...there are ull be able to choose which hand to swipe the ball with..if im correct you can also swipe the ball from someone about to make a a dunk..its been a while since i read wat exactly u can do but theres ways to take a charge and etc. in the post you will have diffrent options for people like ben wallace on defense...thats another reason why i said the freestyle ontrols will be well balanced....jason kidd cant always do fancy passes when a defensive stopper is there to intercept or steal...lets take the spurs and psitons for example they will most likely have all kinds of defensive stoppers for defense ...a team like the pistons will most likely have a couple of superstar scorers like rip and rasheed and the rest will be up to u to use fundamentals much like the real life team which relies mostly on defense

ummm yea man neva heard of one of those?...as in im about to go for a layup and i have to defenders in my way so i tuck the ball down in a circular motion and then bring it back up to lay it in.. effectively splitting the two defenders as i protect the balll..one of those

I have a feeling all of this will get pretty old quite soon...like how freestyle was in the beginning. Wow I can do all these spinning things! Bleah..but it does put a lot of control in your fingertips...

I think this is the best video they've shown yet. This really gives a lot of control to the offense, and will help make the game a lot more realistic.

Sounds awesome...while I'm obviously hoping the gameplay is realistic and the Dynasty mode will hold our attention for a long time, Freestyle Superstars is shaping up to be quite a good feature...realism and effectiveness permitting. We have after all been asking for further developments in Freestyle and total player control. Another wise decision to seperate scorers into two sub-categories.

definitly its great how they have the inside and ouside scorers apart from the spot up shooters, the two diffrent defensive players..three diffrent power players and etc.. that adds so much more realism to it and makes the system much more balanced

I do like the fact that they just didn't put one scorer category, which I expected them to do. I haven't seen these moves really play out in the full gameplay vids though...the full gameplay vids looked like if they were playing Live 2005.5 or something.

I think the NBA Live series has got the gameplay down with all these features. There is a ton of ways to shoot the ball and pass the ball and stuff. Now all they have to do is build the things around the gameplay, like improve the dynasty and expand the dynasty to include NBDL. Once the dynasty is complete they should build a superstar mode like in Madden.
