After seeing the videos (all) on IGN...these need work:

Postby hipn on Sat Aug 20, 2005 1:28 am

1. Turbo - When the turbo button is held, the players move a bit to fast and that makes it seems like the players are skating.

2. Shooting Animations - Animations for some well known players like Shawn Marion.

3. Gameplay - Needs to be a bit more smoother.

4. 3 Pointers - For some reason, it seems like one team is getting way too many threes. Im talking about GSW.

5. Dribbling animations - Yeah, the players are always like crouching or something.

6. Too fancy - Too many behind-the-back passes and too many behind-the-back-bounce-passes. just too many fancy passes.

7. Some guy on GS or some other team was posterizing people like crazy...and trust me, in real life he doesn't posterize people, and he doesn't attempt to either.

Thats all I can name. if you think there are things that need to be fixed, please post them here, TNX! :!: :!: :!:

1.ya the game speed is probably at like 80 and you can adjust that

4.because the difficulty level is probably on starter

6.you have the choice if you want to do the fancy passes or not...they are doing so many because they are trying to show off the game

7.same thing as above^

1) You can edit the speed
2) No one has done this yet. I hope it happens in next gen, but till now, every game still has Shaq and Marion shooting like normal people
3) Agreed
4) Difficulty level, and it's user vs user
5) I think they stand too straight sometimes even, when you're under pressure you crouch, they're dribbling high almost all the time
6) That's because of the users, you don't have to do those moves, they were " trying to show off the moves", and used them when not needed.
7. Some guy on GS or some other team was posterizing people like crazy...and trust me, in real life he doesn't posterize people, and he doesn't attempt to either.

Troy Murphy? Yes, he definately doesn't posterize people in real life lol

i really hope the create-a-player will be better than last years live (2005). I want more options and maybe a custom headshape so I can create missing players (both legends and unsigned players).

You know I actually got the hand of the CAP from last year, and I made the rookies, and the faces were pretty close. The only thing that was really bad was the hairstyles, and facial hair, that was just terrible.

1. I agree. They need to smooth up turbo. I don't like when it's overused either.

2. I think that's memory problems. But for guys like Marion, they should put it in.

4. True, but it could just be because of how short the vidoes were. Baron Davis will take a lot of 3's, though.

6. It's too fancy. But that's a user option. When the difficulty goes up, you can't complete those passes.

7. That's J-Rich. He does try to dunk over people some times. I think he only dunked over two people. It's a user controlled option. If I had to guess, I would guess that the dunks would fail a lot when you try to dunk over people.

did any1 notice Kristic's jumper? looked good IMO.

anyways.. who cares about Marion's jumper.. his shot is so ugly it hurts my eyes. i could careless if he has it in the game... if Marion was as good as LeBron or something then yeah.. but hes an all-star (very underrated as well) but still.. hes not a top 5 player obviously..

man i bet the dunk contest is gonna blow us away this year, i've seen a ton of new dunks already in the vids and i'm sure they've made it much better than last year's

I don't think he's reffering to J-Rich in #7...

the game is on the easy difficulty which explains why the dunks were bein thrown down by fortson kristic and etc.... i wouldnt be suprprised to see someone like jrich dunking all over kristic on a fast break whish is F'in great to me because i hated how a typical center would come and block me on a fastbreak when i was about to yam wit lebron...i have never seen someone of lebrons calibur not be able to run past some cheap center and execute o the break....i would understand if it was someone like amare cuz then u would be forced to either risk the shot and get the foul or hold back and wait for ur offense to set up.... but there were centers like cris anderson and seteven hunter who had blockin in the upper 90's ..these dudes are nobodys and couldnt dream of stopping lebron kobe or tmac on a break...i hope they get the ratings right this year...i mean Dfish is good but seriously he is NOT an 87 feild goal rating...if anything up his clutch rating but its a crime to have him with a higher feild goal rating then most gaurds in the league...and GP as one of the fastest players????the ratings were absolutely ridiculous and it wil be importaant for them to get them right this year...no more centers with 99 blocking for no apparent reason

I thought the top 150 players or sumting would have their own shot style and dunk or w/e. Or is that for Madden...forgot. They dhould include a court editor or utleast be able to download courts and jerseys amd shoes onto a HDD or a memory Card. And they should sseriously include all jerseys of the fanchise...i mean some teams like Lakers were missing some old school jerseys...sad.

1. Hopefully that will be a matter of adjusting the game speed slider

2. Apparently it's a matter of memory limitations with the current generation of consoles

3. Difficult to say seeing as though we're watching videos of people playing the game, both of whom might not be all that experienced or skillful at NBA Live.

4. Depends on the difficulty and also the human player's skill and willingness to fire them up.

5. Didn't look too bad to me, better than NBA Live 2005 in my opinion.

6. Again it's an issue of the human user. As others have mentioned they were trying to demonstrate the moves which meant they were overusing them.

7. Hopefully just the difficulty.

I would say licensing issues prevent them from including other jerseys.

In Fifa 2005 a lot of the best players had their own way of celebrating a goal, things they do in real life... I found this an awesome feature, and always had one of those players on my team as it made the game more realistic. So obviously it's possible to have at least some individual cut-scenes.

A cut-scene is different from in-game play. I'm sure its alot easier to implement a cut-scene for a player than come out with a bunch of different shot animations that are used in play.

Everyone has different skills to the game so it's up to you to decide how you want to play the game. Personally for me, I like realism & not too fast gameplay.
