Thanks for the post

man, i hate watching these ign guys play live, they can't play worth crap. All i saw was playmaker passes, but mostly one on one. maybe they had a few shooter freestyle plays, but i didn't notice it.

i wanted to see how the defence react to pick and rolls, post ups, and play calling- the ign guys just ran around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Danny Fortson is too athletic lol, but I like how the collision and contact is working when players go into the paint. The layup animations also look great, it seemed like they took away the retarded up and under from last year and put a real one.

It seems like defenders still get pushed back by offensive players who are doing layups/dunks, that's something I hate. I'd like that to be collision, that's something that would change a lot in the game, though the collision did look pretty good. Players were being forced to adjust when driving without lanes. Also that Radmonovic dunking on Hunter, and Collison and Fortson dunking on traffic :? [yes, difficulty]

The person who was controlling Seattle was using the playmaker a little too much, on simple passes they would use it lol. The difficulty was definately low because shots went in too easily, and it was too easy to steal the ball from the CPU. The game has promise.....

The movement is still annoying, players are still floating a little, and what I hate the most is the crossover when you don't use freestyle, the one from just moving, it's the quickest crossover I've seen in my life. They do a high crossover and it's so fast

They need to revamp the whole moving while dribbling...

The Ray Allen runner was definately nice, and the players look more in proportion to the court. The game could definately be pretty nice with slider adjustments and in the right difficulty. I'd like to see signs of plays being called though, as opposed to just generic play.

Not bad (Y). I believe that when I change the sliders of the game, it will play more realistic.

i like how joe johnson did the trademark celebration after his jumpshot....he did the dog thing like QRich does....that was ill hope to see more celebrations like dat...the game looks like a much improved version of 05...everyhting looks cleaner and less cluttered...i like how the floor is spaced out....the moves are way mroe clear...and the collisions are much more detailed and realistic....in 05 for example the block animations...though too there were toomay blocks...were nice animations but the were cluttered and somtimes on a block from behing it would seem as if a player piunned the balled to the backboard and it went straight through and out of bounds....now the blocks look cleaner and u can see wat happens...other then looking much cleaner the game looks pretty much the same...which is definitly not a bad thing...i think thsi will be the best NBA Live in a while...i gave up on the series after the bullshit they release in 2001...i was playin 2k until 2005 came out...2k had some great games until 2003 but they turned to shit...liveis headed in a great directions...sad that it seems some people are dissapointed with live....coming from someone that understands both game franchises very well ill let u know that live right now is two steps ahead of any game...and the new 2k is not going to imprve enough b\to be as good as live

The clips are nice & I see some improvements as what other members mentioned before.

But there are something i don't like:

1) The guy abuses the playmaker freestyle
i REALLY hope the Slider could do the adjustment.
Some of the moves are impossible, the oponents should've intercept the pass.

2) The same cutscenes -
eg. the ref. calling the buzzer beater,
the camera movement at halftime (i hope you know what I mean  ),
the first few seconds of the player injury

3) The players position during the in-bound (same problem as 2005)
how come the defender will stay at the back-court while the oponent is in-bounding beyond him?

4) Exactly same wordings from the commentators (esp. Marv Albert).
I discoverd this from the previous video, it's just damn boring !!

I have couple of things to say:

*This game is sweet.

*This game has nothing to do with realism.

*I loved Ridnour Behind-the-shoulder-Over-the-Pants-Underneath-The-Shoelace Passes- too bad he does it 400 times a quarter and 313 feet from the basket.

*Why THE HECK Shawn Marion Shoots normally!? They gotta set the belly-Shot.

*Nash Dribble's Sweeet.

*See ya in NBA 2k6. :D

1) I like the Graphics, they're better than in Live 2005

2)Same commentaries from Marv Albert, they added Steve Kerr and in 07 he'll say same things as he said in 06...they should fix that

3)I like the pass that Ridnour did, but u could do it a lot, it just happens once or twice in a real game, they should have made thouse awesome passes only on breakaways or when some kind of a meter says that u can make a crazy pass

4)Same cutscienes

5)I like where u can select if u wanna view the replay or not

Overall the game got better, but there are a lot of things from Live 2005 or even from Live 2004, they should work on improving the small things, such as commentaries and cutscenes

Actually I looked at it again, you notice during the game there's xbox buttons to the top left of the screen.. it flashes on in the middle of the game..

i dont get why they always play on a low difficulty level to show the game off... and whats with the excessive use of playmaker by whoever the user is controlling Luke Ridnour lol.. but i think if the games played the right way on a much higher difficulty it will be nicee. the annoyances of '05 dont seem to be there which is great. new animations and i liked that danny fortson 1 hand dunk.

EA should at least update the rosters when they do this, it'd be nice to know that FOR SURE they are new videos lol.. but i guess i'll take IGN's word on it and hope they werent just made a while back and released today.

anyways... i still think this game will be the best Live yet. maybe not online.. because people will overuse playmaker and it might become cheese but fun none the less, but off line should be great.

one more thing... the best thing about this whole thing was the fact the teams didnt play Pistons/Spurs defense!

they played horrible defense like the real-life teams do.

hopefully they dont turn into defensive machines when it gets bumped up to higher difficulties. that was a huge mistake in Live '05. the crazy defense by bad defenders.

IGN does that with every game every year, I don't understand why, it's like the guys there don't know how to play.

The refs whistle sound is OLD one and not the new whistle being used now and EA should also improve the net animations..

Thanks for the link, kp, posting it on the main page. Still downloading the videos, will probably weigh in with my opinions later.

EDIT: Not bad, not bad at all. It's difficult to really judge the game from videos like that because it comes down to how the people playing it play the game, the sliders and whatnot, but I don't have too many complaints. I do hope that the Playmaker passes won't always find their mark though and there will be a realistic element of risk, as first reported.

In case you haven't noticed this yet, the videos that is up for download there are from 005 to 009. If you replace the last number in the video with a number 1 to 4, you'll get some new videos. It's from the same game... Here's the direct links:

http://sportsmovies.ign.com/sports/vide ... _qtlow.mov

What I liked about the videos:
A better version of 2005 (is that good or bad :? ).
Graphics is looking great.
Very nice looking interface.
Some really nice new moves that replaced some old ones.
Cut-Scenes and player celebrations are looking pretty nice.
A bunch of small things in the game that makes it seem a lot nicer than last year.

What I disliked about the videos:
The game still feels a lot like 2005 (A lot of the same moves, commentary and so on).
Defenders being moved by offensive players that are performing a 'move'.
Lack of emphasis on rebounds and defence all together. But I suppose it's because of the low level of difficulty. But it still seems like the defensive AI needs a serious revamp.
Over usage of the Playmaker abilities.
Still got some gliding players.

I'm rather satisfied from the videos all together; but if I would have seen these two months ago, I would've thought what a rip of.. Upgraded 2005 version.

Very nice graphics. The jumpshots looked nice and the gameplay was smooth. Now if we could only learn about other things in the game. We all know EA does a good job with gameplay. Its the other game modes like Dynasty that I am excited to see.
NBA Live 2003 is the best game ever made.
