But to spice up Dynasty Mode, every 4 offseasons there should be an olympics period. The leage chooses who goes on the team and it's just like real life.

I don't think the Olympic commitee would allow that. You saw how it was impossible for NBA.com to post a video of Vince Carter dunking over Frederick Weis.

Too many licensing issues, though it would be a nice touch to incorporate other leagues/tournaments. A lot of things could be added before that, that would greatly improve Dynasty Mode.

No they won't make it, cuz many national teams have players, that don't play in NBA, and the game is only about NBA, so it will never happen (

They should first try to implement the NBDL. And team should be able to send players down to the NBDL to get better and should get report on the players on a monthly basis or something. This will add realism and this will also allow team to have more than 15 players without actually having them.

Agreed, not only would it probably be easier from a licensing standpoint it's more significant to a simulation of the NBA.

summer league and preseason would be fanstastic touches. Preaseason would do for now they, how hard is it to add 10 games to the schedule?

Pre-season would be the most likely addition before any other, I'd say. As you said Matt, it wouldn't really require anything new; just a shorter, randomly generated schedule in October.

I'm still trying to figure out how they will organize the offseason if you can trade draft picks..and do anything that you want at the same time..unlike in 05 when its all listed

The off-season still needs a lot of work. It isn't anything like the real NBA off-season. There are a lot of complicated rules for the cap, but the computer should be able to keep track of all that and at least try for a simplified version.

That's the ideal, to make the offseason less linear. It's already calendar-based which was a great move, now the offseason tasks need to be available every day. After scouting and the NBA Draft, we should be able to trade, sign, re-sign and release every day.

I don't really like the idea of having pre-season games... they have it on ESPN 2K5 and I just turn them off, it's no point because none of the other teams mess with their rosters it's basically just another 5 games to play.

I'd love summer leagues though... putting together an entire roster of undrafted rookies and young players then playing against other teams in dodgy little stadiums, it'd be awesome.

Assuming it's the same system as regular games, you'd probably be able to sim them. I think that should be the standard for most Dynasty Mode features (and Owner Mode if and when those features are added); if you don't want to play a particular part of the game, you can skip/sim it without penalty.
