in game freestyle selection

does anyone here play fighting games where you can select different fighting styles during a match? i was thinking about it and this could be used for nba live's freestyle superstars.
a guy like lebron should be able to switch from playmaker, high flyer and scorer during gameplay. why not assign a button to scroll through the abilities? that way the superstars who have multiple skill sets can utilize all of those skills during gameplay, instead of selecting one at the beginning of the game and being stuck with it?
could we have it so we can change abilities on the fly? that would stop people from saying this system is limiting the truely great and multitalented players.

i think guys who arent necessarily superstars, but excell at one skill, should have the ability to use freestyle moves. the effectivness of the moves should be determined by the ratings though.

Very innovative idea. (Y) But i think it wont work with the buttons of this generation consoles' controllers. Maybe Next-Gen consoles should add your idea.

Sounds good to me. Perhaps that will be the case next year.

Are there buttons left for this stuff???

It would be neat... Even if you could change it at half-time or something... Some of the guys play it nice for the first half and then start to take control. So you could have "play-maker" during the first half and then "outside shooter" during the second half if you were losing the game bad... Like a guy goes into the Marbury frame of mind during the half time.

But I'm concerned about the button count and the fact that you really should be able to tell really easily which of the modes were active... And the button would have to be positioned so that you won't press it unless you mean it... Accidental changes can destroy this whole system outright.

Talk about overpowered. Once you have a guy like this on your team, why even bother playing with the others?
