Will EA will do a decent job with 1st & 2nd round picks?

Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

I think it was 04 that they didn't include Fred Jones who was in the lower half of the first round, if my memory serves me correctly.

This year we had a deep draft, some very solid picks in the second round that will contribute to their teams this season- Salim to name one.

I hope EA at least get the first round in good detail.

Cross ur fingers.

I don't think it's by draft order, it's by when they sign the contract with the team. Shaun Livingston wasn't in the original rosters for Live 05 because he hadn't signed with the Clippers before a certain deadline.

Its not that EA dont want to put the players in, its just that the players are not signed like Jae said before the roster cut off date. The thing about rookies that scares me is that usually the generated rookies in the dynasty mode look so fake. They have to fix that and also the commentators should be able to say most of their names.

100% agreed on that one. at least the ratings should be generated less randomly on those rookies. it's not hard to come by some of the weirdest stuff like a very slow point guard with no passing skills and no dribble rating but high on offensive rebounding and blocking albeit beeing 6'0''. or some other rookies that have great offensive attributes (like FG-3PT-INSSCR) and 30 off aware and horrible defensive attributes (ST-BLK-REBS) and anyway getting high def aware.

I think it would be cool if EA could use names like Rudy Gay and others predestinated to go on the next draft that we don't get these weird generated names in Nba Live 06.

Quite a few second rounders have signed and the cutoff date should be early September, so I'd anticipate a good bulk of the rookies will make it to the default rosters of NBA Live 06. The PC version will probably once again be slightly more up to date.

The only problem here is that they keep on pushing back the player signing moratorium and thus making the cut-off date hard to make for some of the action...

They've been going over some small details for two weeks now... They should get it together so that people can sign with their new teams.

The cut off date will have to wait for FA period to calm down atleast... Who knows when the damn period even begins. They say next week and next week they say fridat etc... They've been pulling our chains for a month now already...

I'm starting to question if the CBA is as complete as they'd like us to believe... There are some details still that keep holding the CBA back...

The moratorium is supposed to end July 28th, if that's still the case it shouldn't cause any problems for the cutoff date.

The CBA has not been signed yet and so the free agent signing has not taken place. And what if they keep on pushing back the free agent signing, will that delay the NBA Live release date?

Again, I was under the impression the moratorium would be ending July 28th. Right now, I wouldn't be too worried about the CBA pushing back the release date since it seems we've avoided the pain of another lockout.

YES. One of the movies said that the 2005-2006 rosters will be as accurate as Sept. 30 2005. G00d sign.
