I think the PC version will sucks !!!!!

Mon Jul 25, 2005 6:05 pm

I think this time the Pc version will be a mess, why ?? because the xbox videos look not pretty (the graphic looks like nba live 05) and i think the pc version will look the same.
But what i hope is that they take the xbox 360 as a pattern model.
I mean the xbox 360 videos look so nice and the pc has more resource power and posibility to look mutch better, but they will try to increase the xbox 360 sale and thats why i think they keep the pc version down?
Whats your opinion ?????????????????????????

Mon Jul 25, 2005 6:08 pm

what makes u think that the pc version will be worse when there have been no pics for the pc?????????? and i would think that the pc version would be just as good as the xbox 360, dont u????????? how about we wait till we get more info on the pc verson!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mon Jul 25, 2005 6:12 pm

thats what i hope but there are so many pictures out there of any platform why not the pc version ??
and when you remember every year xbox and pc version looks the same i realy hope it will look like the xbox 360 but i think it will be a exclusive title.
Thats why all pc users have to switch to xbox 360.

PC version will not be bad. They will be as good as the XBOX 360 version.

Mon Jul 25, 2005 6:51 pm

There's more previews for the console versions as that's where the competition is.

Mon Jul 25, 2005 7:01 pm

I think the PC version will be almost as good as the consoles version, but cheaper

Mon Jul 25, 2005 7:05 pm

imo, graphic is not as important as gameplay.

by the way, as far as I know, the graphics of NBA Live did not disappoint me.
Although the improvement might not be too obvious, but I enjoy it.

And my experience is, my own screenshots are far better than every screenshots realesed by EA.

That's why I don't mind if I find that those "preliminary" images are bad.

JUST BUY THA CONSOLE VERSION THEN...

Tue Jul 26, 2005 11:21 am

why is it every single year we have to go through this same BS

Tue Jul 26, 2005 11:42 am

I think EA hires folks to piss us off & make us lose focus on them just focussing on Freestyle stuff. Notice how they all seem to disappear after the game is released?

Tue Jul 26, 2005 12:24 pm

How can you say that PC graphics look like XBox graphics.....PC will always be the best gaming system hands down as graphics go....

Tue Jul 26, 2005 1:23 pm

ok i wanna start by saying that i fully agree that the pc is the best gameing platform available but, if EA does not fully push the pc hardware it will at best be on the same level as the next gen console, not better. EA basically builds thier games for console users so the pc does not get much love.

Tue Jul 26, 2005 6:55 pm

Thats what i`m talking about, sure the pc version looks mutch sharper because of the resolution but look there comes a new console out and Baaaaaang there build a whole new graphic interface.
This what the new xbox 360 can do now was possible to pc last year.
i wish that there will make a basketball game build for pc not console thats why there will never be a differents between console and pc.

The PC is the platform that game should be made to. It always has the most resources, the best graphics stuff and best audio quality (if you have the up-to-date gear)... I think they should make the game for PC resources and then try cram them into the consoles and not the other way around. This way the game would really push the boundaries and improve truly instead of just a minor graphical improvement here and there... I beleive that this too would result in a better console game as I'm sure they'd come up with ways of doing things on the console that they just don't think about now since they don't have to. I believe that they'd get something greater working on the consoles...

Thank god for the next generation consoles... I really hope that they just make the next years game solely for the new consoles and the PC and do a stripped down version for the bottle neck consoles that we have now...

And how many times have I said that the PC desperately needs a new interface that is designed for the PC and not for consoles... The higher resolutions and mouse-controller is so much more flexible than the 640x480 graphics television and the pad controller... First off, the PC resolutions can show way more rows, so you wouldn't have to scroll back and forth when looking at your teams "player stats" when you have more than 7 players... (ok it can show like 10-11 guys, but still)

If you remember the NHL 2003 interface... That was just godly and perfect for a sports game... It had it all on a single screen and the main interface showed the standings, player scoring table and it basically had the "pda" on it as well (a part of the screen where you got all the news etc.) Then they started to make it too for the consoles primarily and it all went to hell from there... I'm so turned off by the 2005 NHL that I'm not sure if I'll get this years edition of NHL and I have them ALL. That's how bad the user interface was the last time around, yes this is purely on the UI. The game was pretty good, but not the best they've made but the horrible "you can only control this UI with gamepad" was just a big ass let down that resulted in frustrating hours of trying to get it to work...

PC should get the same game, but the UI could be remade to handle the PC resources more comprehensively so that we PC users wouldn't feel so nerfed jumping from screen to screen just to see how our lineup looks like...

As usual, I'm in agreement Metsis. I usually get the console version as well and I while I'm a fan of console gaming, I like the flexibility the PC version provides in terms of patching and editing as well as the facility to save stats and the additional storage space a multi-gig HD allows compared to an 8 MB memory card for the PS2. I've always preferred the PC version, though my main Dynasty in Live 2004 was on the console.

Consoles must die ! At last old-gen consoles... :x

I dont get what people dont understand about the diffrence between a computer and a console in terms on technology and a business cost efficiency but all try and explain it to you

Console systems = static System specs

Computers = anywhere from TOTAL CRAP to GODLY

Console games = It doesnt matter what i make if the have the system they can buy it (bigger target audiance)

Computer games = I cant make mini requirements to high, because even thou most people with a computer hate to relize the majority of people that buy games dont have a nice computer and the higher the requirments the less sales you see. why do you think we can run 4800 mhz computers but i doubt theres a game that has a requirement over 1500 (and even if it does your more then likly able to run it at 1500)

console price = 500 +/-

Comp price (desent comp) = 1000 to 2000k give or take monitor ect

comfort and ease of a console for a typical family with more then 1 kid (multiplayer) = means parents buy these over computers for gaming purposes and buy cheap dells for school ect

Programing console = when you deal with static system spec theres a lot less that can go wrong (and a lot more the programers can try and push the envelope)

programing computer games = a world of bugs why do think theres so many patches (only benifit computers had was patchs but even that is moving to consoles if they need it)

Computer games usually will be on the top end of the market when console systems are at the end of there life span give or take but where entering a time where computer are upgrading to fast to make it worth making a game that demands High specs theres no money in it and at the same time where entering a stage where consoles are becoming more then just consoles(DVD players on a tv ect) and have a mini life span of the same specs for about 4~5 years (but still worth using for 7~8yrs) at a fraction of the price so family are more willing to buy them which means more people will buy games which means more money for devolopers

you will not see them spend money on making a game with high specs for a computer because its not cost effeient you can all ready tell just by looking at the last 2-3 yrs how few games of really come out for the computer and made people go WOW (aside from MMOG which will be coming to consoles)

go look at the next gen specs and ask yourself when will you see those specs as mini requirements for a pc ?

answer is 5 years from now if ever?

i agree Computers could wipe the floor with a console on graphics ect but you will never see a developer make a game he can only sell to 50 people especially a sports game thats ment to be played on the couch with your siblings or friends
