Yes, but does this mean that we can't use the 4 buttons for direct passing? I would not like that, I use it very often so I can actually pass to who I want. Hopefully the direct passing button (L1) is mapped somewhere esle, say, R2 or something?

agreed. if the direct passing was removed then i would be pissed. i highly doubt it was though, probably just a different button now.

I was under the impression direct passing was still in the game with the Playmaker Freestyle simply allowing certain players to make fancy passes.

I guess there is no way of direct passing WITH using superstar though.
I hope the "passing AI" is better because I never use the regular pass button much anymore....

Don't worry guys, EA would never take out direct passing, they will just relocate a button or something like that. Hopefully we will be able to use playmaker passing with direct passing at the sametime. But i agree with tadone with this whole bounce passing thing "So does it mean that the non superstar can not make bounce passes ???? " I mean c'mon, even Shaq can make a bounce pass....

on ps2, L1 was a backdown move. L2 is the direct passing, and i'm assuming this hasn't been changed. L1 is now the freestyle superstar modifier, and i don't know whether or not EA will re-assign the backdown move to another button, or leave it out of the game.

If they left the back down button out of the game I will boycott EA ;).

Don't worry EA can't leave the backdown out. At least I hope not.

I need backdown.

I like having a big SF like Jamison or Williamson to postup on their mismatches other wise you can't really take advantage of those players.
