I'm sorry but I do not get it.

After i extract your file or folder here:

My Documents -> NBA Live 06 -> saves

then i go here:

My Documents -> NBA Live 06 -> database -> originaldb

then i copy these two files birthtown.dbf" and "birthstate.dbf

then i go here :

My Documents\NBA LIVE 06\saves\Rosters

then i paste the two files there and i am saying to computer to replace them.

Is this right what i am doing?

Also you said, "only thing you need to do left is load rosters in game"
How do i do that?

Still some work to do and some time to wait... but I try to do my best on this roster and make it worth the wait.

Delayed some time, but finally - here is my next release for Live 06:

This roster update offers current squads of NBA teams (for 19th September) with very big free agents pool with better decade all-star teams and actual All-Star lineups. A few players can be missing like some undrafted rookie etc, but there shouldn't be many missing players, because the update includes all 60 draftees and other players that were signed in this offseason.

I updated the contracts, but some of them may not fully match to real life, specially those signed recently, because the deals of the contract weren't always disclosed.

I also fixed the stamina ratings for the ability to keep players that play big minutes in real life (like Iverson) long on the floor. However, route that I took while updating stamina ratings resulted in pretty low ratings for players that play short time in real life, so I suggest to use about 40 fatigue effect slider while playing long quarters using this roster.

No more crashes in dynasty. I wasn't able to figure out what was causing that damn crash after 1st dynasty season with my previous release, so with this one I just converted my rosters for Live 08 and everything works fine with all modes. The dunk packages can be a little strange though... but generally they should be ok and I had no time to correct them for all players.

Again, no art in the package at all, so search around the forum and download faces and portraits for all the players with pink faces (from 07 and 08 also, they're compatible except the hair .ebo files) and paste them into your sgsm folder. Easier way would be to download a sgsm pack, if someone released one.

While making ratings for rookies I used some of ratings that Andrew has released, because I don't know too much about the NCAA.

Players are 3 years older in this update and that results in current age in dynasty mode for all of them.

Some players have pink shoes, but I didn't really have time to fix all of them - if someone wants to, open appearance.dbf file from save folder with my roster with DB Commander, find IDs of the players with pink shoes (take them from players.dbf file) and put 0 in fields "HOMESHOE" and "AWAYSHOE".

Probably the playerpkg from players.dbf and name of your files don't match. Playerpkg for him in my roster is MWILLI_, so make sure your art files have the same and it should be ok.

better check the Live08 board for recent cyberfaces bro specially the rookies..

the fsh files from 08 works perfectly fine for 06..just be careful try to get only the

fsh files or the faces..like for example marcus williams its written MWILLI_.fsh..that's

the cyberface for marcus williams..

Actually .ebo files of the headshape also work fine. Only the hair .ebo files don't.

If there was any other and less time consuming way to do that, I would do it before releasing the roster.

Well, I use the default aiact, can perform superstar moves and definitely Melo doesn't dunk like Shaq. Some point guards dunk in my game also, but it's about the only problem.


If someone would like to correct the dunk packages himself, here is how to do it:

First backup the file players.dbf from the directory where is the folder with my roster files.

Then open this file with DB Commander. Find the line with player you'd like to change dunk package for, and move right until you find the field "DUNKPACK".

When you have it, enter the value for correct dunk package. If you don't know them, here you can find info about the dunk packages.

After you do that, save and quit. Then launch the game and see if you have effects you wanted.

ei spree i just noticed something about my game when i just let the computers play the game alone without me controlling any team.

I noticed that the players rarely dunks. Most of them just shot the ball or lay-up even if they are very near the basket..

Anyway to fix this?

cxtian - probably dunk packages have something to do with this, but also the sliders such as "dunk vs layup frequency" (user) and "dunk frequency" (cpu). Check out the sliders first and if you want more dunks, increase them both. That should help, and if you still won't be satisfied, assign a great dunk package for everyone with the method from my previous post.
