ok man, well here you go, i have company coming over... which is a good thing cuz i can work on jerseys, and i'll be able to create soemthign better. I'm not to happy with this, if you are great, but i'll look for more logos andperhaps change the jersey style, i used exactly the spurs style. Anyway here it is, if you don' like it, no worries i'm not to fond of it either, i'll recreate one more.

yea if you could make it kinda look more better and put some of them official Spurs logos, but I have a question : If I put those jersey's in the game, will the players numbers, names be on the jerseys ?

if it could, can you please show me like a preview of the jersey in like the practice mode or something, but if you dont want to its fine.

It's simple, but I like it. When you use black, try using 15-15-15 or 10-10-10 instead of 0-0-0 so you can still see the texture.

ok i was gonna sned this to a few people, but i decided to post it incase it's wrong a bit. It may seem long, but it's a baby step by baby step guide that is fairly easy. The otehr tutorials are good, but i needed 3 to actually figure it out, i'm not saying mine's perfect, but this is what helped me, and i'm not too bright.

Programs needed:
(Use google to find)
FshX - for opening .FSH files.
bigGUI - for creating .VIV files.
DB Commander - Editting Team gear
Photoshop - Creatign jersey

ok wel first off you need to know where to look, this took me a long time, because

i always opened the wrong files.
Ok well first we need to open a jersey. Try picking a jersey that has similair colors

for a number, so for a yellow and green jerseys you'd pick sonics etc.....

Ok well i'll just use an exemple of a jersey, the concept is the same.

1. Go to your main NBALIVE folder, it shoudl be in drive (mine is: C:/program

files/EASPORTS/ NBA LIVE 06

2. Go to the SGSM file (if you can't find it, search SGSM), then uniforms.

3. Now copy one of the .VIV files, it's hard to tell which team is which, but NLSC

has the guides for teams. Anyway copy the .VIV file.

4. Go to your desktop and just create a new folder, call it somehting simple, like

AAA

5. paste your .viv file there.

Now we get to the part where we take a part the .VIV file and construct our own.
Before we do, using NLSC guide, rename the .VIV file.
Now open "bigGUI" and open the .VIV file. Export the file to the AAA folder.
Rename them to the same name as your .VIV file.

EX:
let's say we started with "as70away" we would rename it to... "se99away"
and then the other files, which i belive are .FSH files and such also would be

renamed to se99away.

Ok now we open the Jersey file, and replace it with our own.

6. Open fshX and click OPEN, find the FSH file that has teh jersey preview,

"BUNI"

7. Now click texture EXPORT and save as se99away (or your file name) .BMP.

8. Ok teh fun part, open PHOTOSHOP and open your jersey (the one u wish to

add) save it as the se99away.bmp (or your team, the file u previously exported)

and click SAVE, then it shoudl as u if you wish to replace the file and click YES.

9. Now we reopen fshX. And we click TEXTURE > IMPORT. OPen your file

(mine is: se99away) and then click save and close fshX.

10. Open "bigGUI" and open your .VIV file.

11. Click IMPORT and import your .FSH files. Then delete the original .FSH files,

they should be the ones that u DID NOT rename.

12. Now clikc the BLUE R or rebuild until the digits stop moving.

That shoudl be it, now all u have to do is add it into the game.

13. First off our .VIV file has been changed and now press COPY and paste it in

your NBA LIVE 06 folder (where you originally got it from) and PASTE.

Alright, now the DBF editting WOOT WOOT

14. OK DO NOT GO TO THE ORIGINAL NBA LIVE 06 FOLDER, (THE ONE

YOU GOT YOUR .VIV FILE FROM) INSTEAD GO TO THE OTHER ONE. MINE

IS: MY DOCUMENTS>NBA LIVE 06 .

15. Open DATABASE> CURRENTDB > TEAMGEAR

16. Now with your DBF editor, add column and add the information. Use the

guide on NLSC website and fill it in.

17. Finally to save it, save it and also click SAVE AS, we have to update the

other file, (teh one in you NBA LIVE 06 folder, that contains the uniforms, where u

got ur .VIV from.)

18. Now just click DATABASE, ORIGDB and TEAMGEARm click save.

19. All done, just open NBA LIVE 06 load rosters and play with your new jersey.

If i accidentally wrote anything wrong please tell me, it's been a while since i did

this. And if you have tons of trouble, i am offering a TRADE program. I'll make

the jersey ingame, all u have to do is offer me a NBA graphic. I'm trying to make

a website and i need all the team's wordmarks. Not the ones one sportslogos.net

i have those, but ones like the KINGS hoem jersey in good quality, u get me one

of those babies, i'll make u a jersey. Good Luck, any questions, just ask me.

Yes the name and numbers will appear, there's even a way of creating your own numbers. Ok well i wrote that tutorial for you, so give it a try if not, then we can do an exchange, cuz it takes quite a bit of time do get it in-game.

In your tutorial:

- you missed the step to compress the files inside the .viv before you rebuild them
- "Open DATABASE> CURRENTDB > TEAMGEAR" - not neccesarily, you can also open the teamgear.dbf in one of the save folders

Other than that, good stuff. (Y)

Now open "bigGUI" and open the .VIV file. Export the file to the AAA folder.
Rename them to the same name as your .VIV file.

I think i messed up on this part. 1st of all can we rename the .VIV file anything u want? like I put mine as ny07away.viv then I opened bigGUI and I opened that renamed viv file. now i have to export that to the new folder and then you said to rename them to the same name as your viv file. does them mean the other FSh files? rename them to wat u originally named the viv file? well I did that and followed steps 6 and 7 then the photoshop one i renamed it to ny07away.bmp go back to fshx and import the renamed file that has the jersey but it didnt show up, nothing happened. it was only showing the original knicks jersey. if u can help me on this i would appreciate it. I wish there was like a video tutorial for this or something lol.

ahah, belive i wish there was too. Ok when renaming the FSH files that u exported from the .VIV file did you also replace the _nred and _num and _size things, cuz u shouldn't. Other then that.... ok photoshop part. OPEN the .BMP file and your jersey which u saved, so lets say ur BOMBERS, then just close the .BMP file and save your BOMBERS jersey as the .BMP file. Try it again, if it doesn't work, i'll see what i can do.

oh... um ok i'm not usre which files ur talkign about. But there's onyl 2 so, first off the .VIV file that u got from the SGSM folder, copy and paste it to a new folder. Then after u open it and export all the file there, open the jersey one, i belive it's the first, just try each. Then export the texture as a .BMP open ur jersey in photshop and save it as that EXACT .BMP file.
Another tip, u may know this already, but when choosing a .VIV file from SGSM don't choose randomly, choose one that's close to your team, so i dunno of an NBA jersey with GOLD numbers, try using white ones.

yea thanks. sorry to bother again lol but on step 11 when I want to import my .FSH file and delete the original .FSH file (there is also the original .VIV file there too in the new folder i made) but then I cant import it it just says Open and then it shows the folder with the original .fsh and .viv files. I dont know how to actually import the .fsh file I want it just says "open" and on the bottom says "file name:" so if u can help me out there too.

ok i think i know what ur saying. Ok well u renamed the .VIV file.
So lets sya u started off with teh ny70away.VIV, copied it to a new folder, lets say AAA. Ok then u renamed it to..... uh.. at70home right? Now u open it with bigGUI and EXPORT all teh FSH files. Then u rename them to at70home. Then with FSHx u open the jersey file (the one with the BUNI), export it as a BMP right? Save ur BOMBERS (or w/e jersey) as the .BMP file. OK now u open FSHx again and TEXTURe import the .BMP file, u shoudl now see ur BOMBERS jersey.
Now... open bigui and open the .VIV file (at70home) in there u shoudl see the original fsh file (ny70away) right? Now clikc IMPORT and import ur RENAMED FSH files (at70home) and now delete the ny70away. Then click rebuild, or the blue R until the numbers stop moving/changing. Alright that's it. Any other questions?
