There's like 6'7" PF'S even. 6 foot even SG's. Meh..I'm so dissappointed.

Six-foot shooting guards??? Ever heard of a guy named Allen Iverson??? Ring a bell? 6'7" powerforwards??? The powerful Charles Barkley was hardly 6'4", I think he was a little under that.

7'2" powerforward, ok well maybe this is a little bit over the top, but Duncan and Garnett are 7-footers that play the power forward position...

Short shooters include such new arrivals as Ben Gordon and Gilbert Arenas (he came into the league as a shooting guard)...

There are many 6'6" shooting guards in the draft too and many 6'9" centers etc. It's not all about the size... Ofcourse if Ben Wallace was 7'2" tall, no one would be able to get one past him, but would he be as good as he is now, if he had a bigger frame? The bigger the guy the worse and slower he usually is... This is why Duncan, Garnett and Shaq are the most appreciated men in the league... They are big and fast and good... That's a very rare combination for a seven-footer.

But it is not perfect... There are a few too many 6-foot shooters in the draft. They should have a "gauss curve" for these things, in which usually the players are like 6'5" tall at shooting guard, most are 6'4"-6'6" and under and over that would be rarer to see. There are too many short guys in the drafts... But sometimes there are too many tall guys too... The guys should be more average height for their position...

A little tweaking should be done to weed out the scores of short and tall players... And just make them rarer... I think this was in good proportions in Live 2000. There hardly ever were really big or really small guys in the draft. For example in Live 2005, I am playing dynasty like in it's 6th or 7th season and I've already drafted 2 guys who are 7'5" long... And I've drafted many 6' or 6'1" shooting guards that I've converted into point guys due to size... And many 6'6" shooting guards that I've converted into small forwards due to lack of good SF's...

You gotta look at the skills and see what would be best for the man...

Yes, I know. I do the same thing as you..

I'm saying though..why can't they fucking fix it. It would not be that hard. All the 6 foot shooting guards are like..slow and can't pass. Meh..the draft sucks..the off season sucks..blah lbah.

And what's with everyone having the same last name!?!?!

Meh..they need a bigger name database.

I also hope that the PDA & Calendar presentation be fixed & changed. I'm hoping also for more cut-scenes especially during the draft and after winning the championship.

Let's be honest here guys, Live has always been the most neglected out of the top tier sports games EA makes. I don't really mind it anymore because I'm starting to like other sports more, but it's still very dissapointing to see that EA just doesn't pay enough attention to their Live series.

Just imagine a game like Madden, with all the extra stuff they got, the deeeeeeeeep dynasty mode, the new superstar mode, etc. but then all for Live. That would be sweet - hire/fire coaches ( headcoaches as well ), better contract negotiations ( player/team options ), sponsorship, more contact with the owner on financial issues ( ticket prices, jersey sales, perhaps to have the option to build a new stadium ). These are just things they COULD, and maybe should, add to dynasty mode, so I'm not even speaking about the gameplay ( which compared to some of their other sports games is kinda lame - the AI absolutely positively sucks ass ).

EA really needs to rethink their strategy on Nba Live, because if it wasn't for the die hard fans this game would barely sell. They either give 100% on a good product or none at all.

No one's saying it never happens, but look at the Live 05 draft... virtually 90% of the SG's are under 6'3. This just doesn't happen, same as the 6'7 power forwards... they're actually more common than the 6'3 SG's, but they're still few and far between.

EA has to revamp the entire game!!! Just get new developers/teams or something. I'm scared that the new features are very minimal when it comes to improvments to the game as a whole. Yeah I saw the garbage with 6'2 190 lbs sg's. They get destroyed against guys like T-Mac or Kobe, who are 6'8, 6'9 225lbs. And the whole thing with the coaching, well assistants and trianers don't make the team, they help with the team. Head coaches/coaching strategies are what defines what your team does and how they play. Why can't I be the Toronto Raptors and hire Phil Jackson???? Nope!!! I'm STUCK with Sam Mitchell!!! And even if I hire assistants, Sam Mitchell's strategies are implemented as the Raptors' overall mentallity on offense, defence, fast breaks...etc.
The BEST there IS...

Shame it went so quickly through all the menus. On the surface it appears to be the same as last year which in a way is disappointing but at the same time I'm not too upset. It's not changed for the worse and it doesn't necessarily suggest that the AI/logic will be exactly the same. No doubt the low stats are a result of the length of the simulated quarters.

While I'm all for further improvement to Dynasty Mode (and for that matter the interface), improvements to the simulation engine etc would be satisfactory, since I'm already familiar with (and I guess adapated to) the current interface.

Yes, plenty of wishes have been granted. I know that they do read the Wishlists and browse the NLSC Forum from time to time.

Meh, I'm not too impressed with the tweaks they've done to the dynasty mode. The interface looks much the same as last year, just with a colour change. And I think it was Metsis who said dynasty points don't exist anymore..? If that's the case then how do you go about hiring coaches and scouts?
Gotta cut EA some slack though.. they must've had a ton of work to do implementing the freestyle superstars feature and porting the game to the next gen consoles.

There's a separate team budget put aside for staff members I believe it was said. No idea how that would work though.

While it may not be the best approach, in theory if the gameplay is great this year then most of the work from NBA Live 07 onwards would be mode/feature related since the gameplay would only require small tweaks/improvements.

I once drafted a 7 foot small forward. Too bad his height doesn't make up for his suckness.

Most of us would like to see the offseason calendar much less linear though, ie allowing the user to make all kinds of transactions throughout the offseason rather than progressing through Re-Sign Free Agents, Sign Free Agents, Trade Players. That's what we mean when we talk about changing the offseason calendar for the better.

i also have 7'0 small forward who cant even dunk.. can you imagine that. and how about a very slow point guard and very fast center. i used to have those kinds of players.... c'mon ea!

.........................

how about adding a summer league at the pre season calendar? where you can scout more freeagents bout their potential...

thats a good addition..

That's not so unrealistic...Stacey King was a 6'11" centre/power forward that surely must have had single digits in dunks for his whole career. ;)

if you are 6"11, you shouldn't have any and i mean any problem dunking what so ever. there are a lot of 6 footer who dunk. i know its hard to dunk cause i am 5"11 and i can touch the rim of the not standard hoop which is i think 9 feet. but if you are taller than 6"4, you should slam dunk it each time you are in the gym or in the park.

2 6'6" pf's

1 6'8" PG

and the tallest SG I saw was 6'4"

Omg..pisses me off..

its the same here. in my dynasty which i play with the blazers, i wanted to trade for a power forward. i think it was the year 2015 or something. i scan all the 29 teams.

i found that all the starters were between 6"6 to 6"9 mostly 6"8!!!

i know found 2 7-footers who were rated 50ish.

i know its disappointing, but i hope nba live 06 is different than what we are talking about.

Correct, in theory. But Stacey King was hardly one of the league's best athletes during his time. Charles Oakley is another player who rarely dunked despite being 6'9". Great rebounder, but he didn't dunk as much as other players his size.
